Will this update also update the maps? I got a usb stick ready with the map update, but I've been waiting till I'll be in the truck for at least an hour since it states it will take that long for the update.
Is there a reason to need 3 usb drive ? Can't i just use 1 and format between steps ?
that's what I did. Just used one stick. It took a while and the truck even shut down in between updates, but it worked perfectly. And also to the guy who asked about the maps, yes It upgraded my maps to the latest release
First, thanks to all the forum members making this upgrade possible!
I am just getting ready to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.4. I’m just wondering, currently on 3.0, SirusXM travel link weather will not pull any Canadian cities for weather information, and will only pull the nearest USA city. Does upgrading to 3.4 resolve that?
I test drove a new F-150 that had V3.2 and the travel link would pull Canadian weather data. Yet, all the F-350 will only pull USA weather, even though they are Canadian trucks.
Updated my 2018 F-150, with nav, to 3.4 in early October with NO firmware update. No issues for me, but I mostly use CarPlay. Impressed with 3.4 over 3.0 to say the least. However, I would not recommend this update unless one is completely comfortable with the risks. With that said the only major issues I've seen relate to firmware updates.
Everything went well , the only thing I don't like about 3.4 is when you set up a route with the GPS you now have that green bar on top that block your view of what's coming ahead on the GPS. It is really a bummer. I'll take more time to play with it but if it's like that I think I will revert back to the old one
Just finished on my 17 SD non/nav, worked great done in less then 20 minutes. Had to reconnect my phone but other then that seems to be as normal, even remembered my sirus stations. Thanks
I have been trying to get mine (Non-NAV) updated completely. I got through USB2 with no issues but USB3 fails to do anything. It will say at the top System Update and think for a while, stay like that then it goes away. I don't get any errors or complete dialogs.
I have done a master reset, no change. I have tried 3 different usb sticks (2 of which went fine for USB1 and 2)
It is on the 19200 version of 3.4. I also do not have any Sirius XM logos. The 3rd USB which is just the update has only 1 update file (In SyncMyRide folder) for link in post 3 and 2 files on the F150 forum.

mine did this, I turned the truck off for about 30 mins came back and it was updated. I don’t know what causes it but it’s like it needs a full power down and then it takes. I can’t answer why.

Unfortunately this did not work. I left the truck as it was last night and went out this morning. Still on 19200, still no Sirius XM logos
Edit: trying once again with a USB drive that worked as USB 2. It reads the drive with a consistent flash for about 20s and stops. Updating system software showing for 30+ minutes
Edit 2: I was able to get 19274 installed by redoing the whole process over from USB 1 and following the step on the F150 forum. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/upgra...8/#post6356291
Initially I have no SirusXM logos after a reset but maybe something will change down the road. If not, I'm not all that worried about it right now.
