Downloaded USB stick from F-150 link for Sync 3.3, it displayed "System Update" messages for about 8 minutes when inserted. Then said, "done, restart truck", it came back with Sync 3.4 and nothing else.

so you’re still on 3.4 after putting 3.3 in? Did you perform a master reset ?

What's the version of 3.4 that you have installed now? 19274 or 19200?

Wandered off and drank a beer. Next time I started the truck, saw the familiar 3.3 screen. Put stick 1 back in, got the normal "system Update" then it asked for stick 2 again! Gave it the new NAV version stick 2 that I got from the .RAR file, it took the correct amount of time and unpacked maps and everything.
Nav system is back. Had to re-add phone to Bluetooth, but that was it. Nice!
John from Kentucky, thanks greatlyfor some phone guidance and support. Threw enough darts and finally hit the target.

Good news! Ford killed the format tool after 19200 which is why you had to go back to then go forward. Glad it all worked out. Forum communities are fantastic!

no problem!! This forum has done enough for me so I pay it forward when i can !!
I saw in an earlier post, too hard to find now, about putting all 3 usb files on one stick, is there a special format for that?
Some of us were too cheap to buy three USB drives so we just made and used drive 1, then reformatted the USB and copied over the drive 2 files, then rinse and repeat for the drive 3 files.
There's no shortcut to put them all on the same drive at the same time.

Good to hear! I think you needed stick 1 to format and get rid of the non-NAV install. After the format, it was blank so either NAV or non-NAV could be installed. I think otherwise stick 2 wants to do an upgrade matching the current install type.
Did this this afternoon. I used the links on the F-150 forum to download the three rar files. I had trouble with Google not letting me download the complete USB 2 zip from Tricon. Don't know why.
All went fine. Thanks to the folks who put this together. I really owe some folks a beer for this work.

I keep seeing posts about having the ability to have your presets have different sources on one screen. How? I've played with it for a while now and can't figure it out so hopefully its something simple that I'm just overlooking.

There's a "Source" Button to select (AM/FM1/FM2/FM3/Sirius/etc) then once I select my source, the "Presets" for that source come up? Like I have separate "Presets" for FM1, 2, 3 and Sirius... but all I do is hit the "Source" button and change to the different source first and "that" brings up the new set of "Presets"! I have never seen them all on one screen yet!!! That would be pretty slick though!
is this a beta version before a official release of 3.4?
Nope, this IS the real thing - available and running on 2020 Super Duty trucks... someone just got their hands on the files and made them available with great instructions!
