I was wondering if someone could post pictures of the files as they appear on the finished USB sticks. I have been struggling with the downloads all afternoon and have experienced several download errors. I finally got USB 2 to download cleanly (it took about 3 hours) and it seemed to unzip successfully and created two .tar.gz files. Is that how many there are supposed to be. I would feel better if I knew exactly what the files should look like on each stick before proceeding any further.
Thanks very much,
Gary

If you are using Tricons Non Nav files there should be three .tar.gz files in the SyncMyRide folder on your USB2 stick and a separate LST file not in the folder.
Thought it my be worthwhile to re-post Tricon’s earlier warning in case people grab the file links a few posts above and haven’t read the thread from the start...

You can use the first folder to update the firmware on your APIM module, but 99.9% of you will not have the hardware to do this, and its completely unnecessary to get the update. You need FORD's IDS or similar (FORscan won't do this and you need a $500 adapter to do it anyways) to accomplish this and you can brick the device if you do not know what you are doing. So just pretend its not there. Do the 3 USB sticks and you'll have everything you need.

3 hours! My internet must be fast.. It only took less than 20 mins to download all the files n 30 mins to install in truck

I used Tricon's files for navigation and only have two .tar.gz files in SyncMyRide folder. On one of my attempts I only ended up with one file.

here are the files on my USB 2
what am i doing wrong
When I downloaded the files for USB 2 they were the same as pictured above except the extension was .tar.gz.
I downloaded the files for USB 1,2 & 3 but haven’t tried to install them. Plan to just archive them for now as my 3.0 version seems to be stable and I really don’t mind the screen color.
damn you’re still having this issue? Go back to 3.3, you’ve already done the format 3.3 works. Next time I drive my truck I’ll take a picture and send it to you. To show you it’s working on 3.3
ill also admit you use more features than most of us. I use the gas price app on my phone.
I'm on 3.3 and it works as designed except for the fuel prices in Travel Link. Actually, fuel prices work if I have an active route in the nav as it'll find prices along the route all day long. But I still get the error message when doing an area search for fuel prices near me. In the big scheme of things it's no big deal, but it makes my OCD twitch. Plus, using Travel Link seems to be a bit less distracting than trying to use the phone.
I really like 3.4, but the inability to manually search USB music kinda leaves me sour. I cannot stand all the big brother garbage. I don't know...maybe I'll do another format and reinstall. It's about the only thing left to do.
Sorry, yes it is the nav files that I am downloading. When downloading I have been experiencing very long processing time as it creates the zip file and on a couple of occasions it has come up with an error during this process just before it was about to finish. This has me concerned that the extraction process may not be giving me all the files.
