Spring is almost here. Did some cruising around the country side yesterday (wife calls it wasting gas). Stopped by a place that had an Historical Marker about a survey of the VA-NC border made in 1728.

very cool. I haven’t had the time or desire to waste gas in years. Maybe when life slows down.
So we ordered a new car seat to stay in my truck to replace the infant carseat/base that the little one is rapidly out growing. Well it got delivered today via FedEx.... allow me to paint you a picture: We are the first plot of land off the road we stay on 4 acres, however our driveway comes off of a rock access road. Our house faces the highway but is set back about 400' and the access road divides mine and my neighbors yard, then there is 6 more houses down the road behind us. Mine and the neighbors driveways feed off this rock road at 90* angles straight to our back yards. We have a car port right by the backdoor, and we never use the front door and that's very obvious with the rock road, and our driveway layout.
So FedEx delivery driver decides to walk even further to put the car seat by the front door instead of the back. In the freaking rain like a ******* instead of leaving it under the carport that was a closer freaking walk. Luckily I got home about 15 minutes after it was delivered before the seat got soaked and ruined. I did file a complaint with FedEx.

sounds like when they marked my package delivered after not delivering it all day... It went from "out for delivery" to being marked "Pending new delivery date.." I wake up the next day and the tracker says it was "delivered" the day before when it was supposed to be.. when i called to complained they said the driver must have left it at a neighbors house instead of mine (were the last house on the street)... while going door to door (ntm i was starting to get sick at the time) asking my neighbors (the ones that were home) if they got my box by mistake, what drives by??? a Fed Ex truck.... and whats on that truck?? the box that was said to be delivered the day before...
I got a radiator delivered by FedEx. It was opened and the staples holding the box together were gone. The driver left the package on the porch opened side down, Lucky it didn't fall out when I picked it up. When I questioned FE about the open package, there response was that "they can open any package they wish to" as well "as other gov't. agencies" They never did respond to my question of why they didn't re-seal the package.
Good morning North Carolina. Have to load the truck for a trip to Archer Lodge area to help son in law work on their porch roof. Think we will go rt 86, 158 to 96 to avoid the interstate.,
Well, I guess most of the family knows now, so it's not a super big secret. So Ya'll can find out. Catherine and I have decided to go ahead and get married this year. I've been part of her life, since before Aggie (the youngest child) was born, and we have always managed to stay friends. So I figure, we've proven that we can be pretty reliable for each other.
