I did make it to KCK late this afternoon, and the new tires for Ka'Bluey are in the garage.
I've talked to a couple of electricians today after hearing more bad news about the brand of breaker box that we have in this house (Federal Pacific, Stab Lock breakers) Nobody has anything good to say about them. So with our tax returns, we're going to replace that breaker box, and going to ad 200 amp service, and that will also allow us to ad more light controllers for our Christmas Light Display
Looking good Bob. Hey, I've got a set of 8 lug wheels that those would look good on.
Lookin good, Bob.
Is that the autographed dash hanging over the toolbox?
Mornen Tony, yes that's Ka'Bluey's autographed dash. I have the replacement in the garage and waiting to get the air compressor wired up so I can strip it, and paint it to match the new colors.

I'm sure those wheels look better than the wagon wheels that are on there now, but they're 5 lug, 16.5 wheels.
Just got to spend 30 minutes outside, and Wow. I hope tomorrow is this nice. I've finally had enough and told them I'm taking tomorrow off. Gonna get some shop time in. But if it's like this. The trucks are going to get worked on outside on the asphalt.
A couple of days out in the shop, then today I am getting to do some plumbing in the house, again. Laundry room floor is fully soaked. Looks like a pipe is leaking in the ceiling. Guess it's a good thing we called off the camping trip, this sure wouldn't be good to come home to after a weekend away.
Yep it looks like it's above a wall. Least I hope the pipe I cut is the right one, and where it was leaking. Of course I won't know until a second trip to the hardware store. I already had some PEX piping laying around from the last leak, so I thought it would be fine, turns out this time, it's 1/2 in not 3/4 in pipe that's leaking. I already went once to get shark bites, as I don't ever want to buy the tools to do the crimp connectors. Next bonus I get, I'm getting estimates to replace all the plumbing (copper pipe) in this house. I'm done with chasing leaks every six months...
I thought I was done here in Virginia,,, and then pin-holes suddenly appeared in one section of pipe. At least with a single story and full basement I didn't have to do any more sheet rock removal. Got into CVCP (plastic) piping when working on son's house, and did laundry room plumbing with it.

Josh, I do have the tool to crimp those fittings, You are more than welcome to come get it!
Mother nature is about to kick us in the gnads again. We're supposed to get rain turning to snow, then ice on top of that. And the weather guessers are talking about another round this weekend. It may kill our trip to the "World of Wheels" car show in Kansas City this weekend. it would be the first show I've been to in almost 15 years.
Y'all stay warm!

I was wrong on the pipe, so fixed the one I cut then found the leaking one. This time it was 3/4 in. Of course two t connectors making it impossible to easily work on for me, the the wood joist around the leak was extremely swollen so had to go in with a boring bit. Finally gave up and just hooked up enough so I’d have running water back. So both showers have only hot water, and 2 out of the toilets work.
I got got a little pissed and might have removed a little more Sheetrock than was necessary... but it was all a soggy mess. Also when trying to cut one side of the pipe one t connector fell apart. So possibly another leak or soon to be a leak.
At this point it would have been cheaper to call a plumber,

Leaky pipes + wet sheet rock = mold Which you don't want. Maybe spray the wet area with a bit of bleach solution and let it dry.
Have you priced out emergency plumber services lately $$$$$
Josh sorry to hear about the leak and the crap you had to go thru to get water back on.
This house had all the copper replaced in the crawl space but think behind the walls is still copper.
Up north I never saw water kill copper pipe like down here.
We also installed a full hose water softener that we were told should help on pipe killing water.

Good morning North Carolina!
Busy last couple of day's here. The new breaker box is in a,d the compressor is running, and did the break in of the pump already. Now to change the oil, and fasten it down.
Took a little walk out to the back side of the property... there is a little feeder stream that runs behind the house that is normally just barely gets over top of the dirt maybe crawl over a small leaf... but nothing real bad... but with all the rain weve gotten lately...
just outside the kitchen window..
this is normally the very shallow stream...
some places that got to 4-5" deep... for something that normally isnt even 1/2" deep in maybe a 1" wide stream...
before i got the phone out to take the pic there was a log sitting on the bank to the left of the tree there... but the now river there washed the bank away and the log too...
