Under the 3.0_18025 version, my radio would always switch from Sirius back to FM on restart. This got annoying, so I downgraded back to version 2.3.
This new version came out and I was hopeful that after all of this time the issue with reverting to FM would be corrected. I should have known better. I installed this new update 3 days ago. Since then, every time I start the truck, it reverts to FM just as before. I guess it's time to downgrade to V2.3 once again.
Ford really needs to address this, but I'm doubtful that they even care at this point.

After updating and having the random radio startup issue on my 2017, I decided against ever doing an update again after I bought a 2019. All that update did was take a lot of time and **** me off for no noticeable improvement.
My new truck's head unit works as it should. I'm not tempting fate again. And I concur that Ford really does not care about those with this problem as it's been a known issue for quite some time and no reliable fix ever came along that I saw.
The latest sync update bricked my screen and apim. Its sitting at ford right now and after replacing the apim twice and the screen they are working with ford to figure out why. My system was fine until I installed the new sync update. It wont boot up or allow touch function. Still allowed listening to music and android auto to load on the screen but still no touch function. The screen will either stay black or load to half a map when in sync. Android auto shows as normal but with no touch function you cant use it. Something with that update is not compatiable with my truck for some reason. I have a job one built 10/16/ This is the first issue with the truck in 65k miles and its pissing me off that it could have been avoided by not doing that damn update.

Interesting and the first time I’ve heard of this happening because of an update.
I downloaded what I thought was version 3, 3.3 19052 build, when done my build number was different, this week Sync locked up the screen, took it to the dealer and they must of loaded Sync again cause now I'm at 19052, so hope it's fixed, but wouldn't hold my breath, at least one of the annoying wifi popups stopped.

There's a fairly easy workaround. Its not a fix, but it cures the problem. Just turn off the radio prior to shutting down the truck. Then when you restart the truck, wait for the system to fully awaken before turning audio on again.
I dont use sirius, but my passion is Pandora, and the phone audio connection does the same thing. But this turn-it-off approach prevents the irritating radio hiss, and it reconnects to the phone correctly each time.
