Last night I attempted to update my CTS. Epic fail is all I can say. After like 30 minutes of downloading like 500,000 files (literally) at 98% complete I get an error message saying to follow the instructions of tech support because it can't write a certain file. I tried 2 more times to successfully update to no avail.

It took 2 attempts from tech support to get a recovery to work. It is all updated now and I will see in the morning if everything is normal. I did look through the PID list and there are no new items on the list. The tech said that eventually they should have every PID available. I hope they hurry up on that one!

 

720deere appreciate that info. Think I will wait awhile till they get it right before I try a update. Could you pull up the software version of that update off your CTS. Thanks Paul

I won't update mine since I don't have RS and there aren't new PIDs.
I wonder what they mean by "eventually;" could mean two years...

 

The guy I talked to didn't have a time frame. He only said that what we have now is basically generic and they have not released anything else for the 6.7 yet but they will.

My new version is 3.49xxxxxxx, I can't remember exactly what it was. I wouldn't be afraid to update. I'm pretty sure my issue is USB related. My port was timing out on me or something. Maybe it was the cord I was using. The biggest reason I wanted to update was to correct the issue of having to unplug and plug it back in to turn it on after a remote start. The update is supposed to allow you to tap the screen twice and it will turn on.

On another not, has anybody ever used the CTS as a display for a camera? For the guys that keep complaining about not being able to add a second camera to the Lockpick yet, this may be a good option for that second camera.
