I think it's about time we follow a thread TheWiz created in the Florida Chapter and do a "Roll Call".
I'll begin -
Hi all, I'm Carlene (sometimes Steve41) and I/we have a 1941 that's still in the building stage. Details will be given in another thread so as not to clutter this "Intro" thread.
Your Turn!!!

Hi Carlene
Been reading the forums for a while now to see what others have been doing to their pickups. I started with probably the most rusted pile of 1940 iron that could be found anywhere. It began as a learn how to weld and form sheetmetal project. Anyone who saw the truck when it came out of the woods can't belive this is the same truck now. Gives me some confidence that even I can do it, even though it has taken me 10 years of part time tinkering to get this far.
Also have a 39 cab and bed waiting to be started some day.

Hey all...
I'm Dustin (dustof45).. And ive got a rare girl.. a 1945 ford 1/2 ton pickup. I started restoration on her back in 1997 and finally got somewhere on her this last summer. I completely dismantled her over the years and this summer I started rebuilding her. She now has a restored chasis. My original flathead v-8 is stuck
so i had to look for another one. I put a 1939 flathead v-8 in, not what i really wanted, but who can beat a engine that was only 10 miles away, rebuilt not to long ago, and for a decent price? I hope to someday fix up her original engine or find one exactly like it...
Thats my toy

Other than that every thing will be or try to mostly stock.
Bruce Wayne in Shreveport/ I have loved old trucks since I was a little kid--it might be more exact to say I loved my Grandpas 37 Ford pickup.I didnt care for his 1948 or my uncles 1961, just the 37. Grandpa quit using it when I was 6 years old and it sat by the barn. I bugged him til he said i could have it. It led to me having lots of old trucks and cars and motorcycles. I have Model As and a 35 1/2 ton, 35 1 1/2 ton, 2 36 1/2 tons, a 36 1 1/2 ton, the 37 and a 37 panel truck, a 39, 6 1940s a 1946 a 1960-- I think thats all my trucks.
Hello folks. I'm Randy and I'm resto-rodding a 47 Mercury 1/2 ton pick up. Bought it in July '96, started working on it in Sept. '97. I had to take it all apart because the former owner did such a bad job when he tried to restore it. It has a rebuilt 302, C4 tranny, '80 Firebird front suspension and rear axle, rear disc brakes, new replica box and bed. I've been at it all these years and I wonder if I'll ever get it done. Say, anyone know where I can get a new chrome grill for it?
