Hi There,
I have a 1947 Ford COE and figured this would be a good place to connect with other Fordies! I'm thinking of updating the drivetrain to a 5.9 Cummins w/6 speed manual trans. and changing the rearend to more freeway friendly ratios, but am struggling with doing those changes or leaving it original. Would appreciate any experienced opinions.
Thanks,
Sarah
New to forums.
We have a 1940 Ford 1 1/2 ton fire truck that is complete and driveable. Just needs some cosmetics. Haven't pumped. Also have other 'oldies', but the only other Ford is a 1979 F350 pickup with a Wildernest camper that runs well, but has a bit of a rough body because it was a ranch snowplow truck.

What do you think about the fiberglass front ends for a 40 Ford pickup truck. I have a metal front end but would like a fiberglass one. Have looked all over and can not find one. Looking forward to diving into this project which I started to collect about 10 yrs. ago. Thanks,
Russ
Hey Y'all-
I'm Jim, I have a 30 AA dump (MAFCA 204-B), fully restored. Red cab. Black fenders, running boards, dump body. Dual Budd wheels. Wood brand light hydraulic PTO dump body. Hydraulics are original and work great. Warford under/over drive/ straight thru auxiliary trans. Love this truck!
Fiberglass front fenders are no problem, as they are the same as 40 Std. passenger cars. The problem is the hood, which is unique to 40 and 41 pickups... I have found no one who manufacturers a production replica of this hood....
Hi everyone. Just got on board. I've got a '40 pickup into which will be going a souped 5L and a T5, 9" Versailles on leaf springs. Body's in pretty good shape. Right now I'm fighting the stock rear out of it. Just learning as I go. Hope to get some ideas from you guys.

Hi, my name is Nick. On Christmas day I bought myself a present, a '32 ford pickup. I do not have it home yet, but it is in pretty good shape. I did not see any rust holes in it. My friend has owned it since 1960 and has a 265 chevy motor mounted to a '39 tranny and rearend. He has all the original motor, tranny and rearend parts he took off in the bed. I want to return it to original and make a weekend driver of it. I will be coming to you guys for advice when I get started. This will be my first project.
