The Velvacs have superior viewing and I like the one arm swing away... No question though the large viewing area makes lane changes and backing up easy, the ones on the Ford don't have as much viewing area.
Thank you, that was a very helpful opinion, since you can compare the viewing area of both mirrors side by side.
Your opinion might also be of interest to anyone looking for side mirror recommendations, since the Velvacs have been available for the 99-16 Ford F-Series Super Duty external side view mirror mount for many years now.
Since the F-Series chassis cab is also used as the foundation chassis for airport busses, rental car shuttles, paratransit, school busses, motorhomes, etc, Velvac has long provided a version of the 2020's that bolts right up to the 99-16 Super Duty cab.
Also, the Velvacs are available in a power adjusting glass version, that includes a replacement interior mirror mount bezel trim that has the directional switch assembly mounted in place to electrically adjust the mirrors.
I ordered the 1AAuto ones and went to install on my E99 today. They bolt up great with outstanding foam pad that compresses between mirror and door sheet metal resulting in excellent fit. Unfortunately, they did not send the round plug adapters that were supposed to be included. I didn't realize this until both new mirrors were bolted up. I corresponded with them via email (which really impressed me they answered query on Independence day) and they were not getting any more round plug adapters until August. I ended up cutting off plug from my factory mirrors and new mirrors, looked up wiring diagrams (thanks FTE), and making it work. Figured what the heck, I'm already here, so I ran wires through door so I can have turn signals and running lights too. Just ran out of time so truck will sit unfinished until weekend. The 1AAuto mirrors are very high quality, I dare say approaching or equal to an OEM quality. Just heads up, if you have an early model that needs an adapter, it might not be there as promised.

Guess I got lucky. Finished my install a few weeks ago. When I started the install I noticed I didn’t have the round plug adapter either. I wasn’t too far into the install so I just put the old mirror back on. After an email to 1AAuto, a pair of adapters were on the way. I really just needed the rectangle plug end of the adapter as I crimped on pins for the heat, turn signals, and marker lights and pulled them into the plug. The viewing area is so much better than the stock 00 towing mirrors! Great mod!
