Looks like it all burned off before it got here. Bright blue and clear sky. I'm guardedly optimistic that it is going to be a bright, nice "spring" winter day.

Hey all. Hope things have been well for y’all. I need
to pick some brains for a minute... I need to see if anyone knows what this goes to. Im having a charging issue even after replacing both the battery and the alternator (came with new voltage regulator). the wire is light green with a red stripe. The end that isn’t cut runs to the positive battery wire, and into the alternator. Or its at least lumped in with those.

After a whole lot of digging and hitting up the chat part of the ford parts page, I found out whag it is finally. Its the wire that “excites” or gives a surge to make the alternator work. Somehow it got cut, and now its screwing with my alternator. Unfortunately the part nor the wiring harness is manufactured anymore. Ill have to hit up a junk yard for one, or at least that piece so I have some more wire to play with and fix.
If y’all happen to know where else besides rockauto, LMC, and vintage parts that is an “official” obsolete parts dealer that i might find this it would be appreciated.

Let Salem and got to McMinnville to the attorneys office, Petco and then went to Walmart to pick up the Wardens Dope.
Dustin, why not just wire in a new plug and run a new wire? Or is there more to it than that?
Usually the exciter is just a positive signal from one place to another.
