3rd Brake Lamp Camera

That is the CHMSL harness, the camera is integrated into that harness if the truck is equipped. The interesting thing to see is what does the connector at the C-pillar look like and does it already have the extra pins in it for the camera. If id does not then the body harness is not the same for all Lariat-up trim levels. .

My current inter-connecting CHMSL harness, has part # HC3T-14A411-EB on a tag. Useless (so far), as that number doesn't come up...
My cab's C-pillar harness feeding the CHMSL inter-connecting harness, has 6 wires;
2 - 18ga - Black, Blue/Red (I'm guessing on wire gauge for all)
4 - 22ga - Purple, Black/Yellow, Black, White
My CHMSL Harness has the following;
3 - 22ga - Purple, White, Black (Not sure of order, but...Cargo Lite 12V+, 3rd Brake 12V+, and Ground)
This means there are 3 remaining wires in my cab C-pillar harness NOT feeding the CHMSL harness;
2 - 18ga - Black, Blue/Red
1 - 22ga - Black/Yellow
These MUST be for the camera...
I'm looking at trying to make this work two different ways:
- Find the proper CHMSL/Camera cable. This would be easiest..dah!
- Add the missing wires to my existing CHMSL cable, and replace the upper connector where it meets the CHMSL/Camera pigtail (using Molex 19419-0001, shown below)
#2 would also requiring purchasing the correct crimping tool(s), pins, etc, which I'm in the process of determining if its financially worth it
I've determined the connector that Sarge261 showed coming off his CHMSL/Camera pigtail, as being a Molex Receptacle 19418-0001, found at Newark -
Newark.com
The male version is Molex Connector 19419-001, which would be required to retrofit my existing cable;
Obviously, there are no pins inserted yet.
Below is the connector from the inter-connection cable between the C-pillar harness, and the pigtail on the CHMSL/Camera. Now, to do some more digging to see what this connector is, then decide if I want to make and entire new cable. Heck if this all works, I could probably sell the cables if they can't be sourced!
As usual, there are NO markings on this connector.
And we trudge on..............................

And here's a little Super Duty trivia - Our trucks use over 1000 different connectors, per the Workshop Manual. Takes a while to locate the correct one...

Alrighty. So, we can see by Sarge261's picture, and my picture, what the two connectors LOOK like.
Looking at this drawing, we can now identify the two connectors in question. C9125, and C3047, which reside at opposite ends on the harness feeding the CHMSL w/camera.
From the connector diagrams, C9125 (which I posted earlier before i started to figure out the Workshop Manual):
...and C3047. IF making our own cable, we'd use the "FEMALE" illustration.

In theory 14A411 should be the complete harness, I do know for a fact that WPT-1415 (Pigtail) is the correct pig tail for the CHMSL end of the harness. If I get the wrong harness and the correct number of pins is in it I'm determined to make it work, even if I have to figure out what I need to buy to connect to the truck side.
When I gave my parts guy the pig tail part numbers from the diagram he told me it was superseded. It'll be a few days before I can post back but that will give me time to lower my head liner and get my C-pillar molding off.
Any tips or tricks I should know about to do the headliner Fatfender? I do appreciate your help spurring this project along, Ive got quite a few bucks wrapped up in it now but I'm determined to make it work now!

All I did was release the C-pillar and reach up to pull the headliner down just enough at the back corner to see up under it. To go farther, likely need to remove the dome light. Here are instructions someone else posted for headliner removal. Skip to to the appropriate step since you're not removing it entirely.
I don't need to remove it entirely but I need more room so I can run my antenna.

Ok so then HC3Z*14A411*D is the correct harness. My dealer was very persistant that we had the correct harness, but he agreed we were missing the correct pigtail. So, we order another harness assembly and it had the additional pigtail on it. The original harness must of been miss packaged.
