I'm still thinking this is possible. Thanks to @UpInSm0kE for posting this cab wiring routing diagram on the "Upfitter thread. The red arrow points to the connector in the lower photo.
I pulled the left C-Pillar cover to see what the harness feeding the 3rd Brake Light looks like. What I see, is many wires feeding that connector, and only 3 or 4 coming out. I think adding the camera just MIGHT be possible.
If I can source the 3rd brake light camera and associated harness at a decent price, I might just take a chance that this will work. How to activate the camera might be the question, unless its recognized when it is plugged in???
Maybe someone can dig up part numbers for the lamp and harness if its needed. I'm willing to try. The only thing beyond that we may need is the toggle switch that the tow bundle trucks get for the dash to scroll through the cameras.

I was going to say the same thing. Hopefully, there's someone on this forum that works in Parts, that could get numbers and good pricing.
I need someone (in parts???) to confirm this information:
It would appear the harness part number was: FU2Z-14A411-DB, which has superseded to: FU2Z-14S411-DB. In the Workshop Manual, it is identified as: C9125.
Best I've been able to determine, the CHMSL Camera is: HC3Z-19G490-A After further searching, this part number is for the CAMERA ONLY. I'll keep looking.
I came up with the harness number based on the 2017 Super Duty Workshop Manual. The CHMSL Camera was found using a manual search. I searched for a Platinum model that has the camera, and used it's VIN to search for the part.
Again, I CANNOT confirm these are correct numbers.
I should have the parts late this week or early next week, I'm not sure when I will get them installed but Ill do my best to get to work on it right away.
The harness is fairly cheap at right about 20 bucks, the lamp not so much, my dealer charged me about 200 bucks for that.
Fingers crossed, that its plug and play but I'm not sure it will be. I'm hoping someone that knows forscan well may be able to help me because I'm not that computer savvy.

Awesome, can't wait to see if it works out. I'm short, i can't see the gooseneck ball at all from the cab lol.
I don't believe your getting a complete assembly. I Googled your part number (which is similar to the one I had), and they all come up with just a camera (I'd assume) for $75 - $80. Changing the suffix letter, bring up different cameras. I THINK the CHMSL + Camera should be closer to a couple hundred.
This description from FordPartsGiant.com doesn't even mention the High Mount Stop (I did not highlight or bold any of the below, its all cut-n-paste, so no emphasis intended):
Ford Part No.: HC3Z-19G490-D

This part fits the following vehicle options:
Fit Note: Rear Video Camera And Prep Kit
Production Date: 07/2016-
I looked up a used 2017 SD on Cars.com that included the camera in the CHMSL, used that VIN on TASCA Parts, and it came up with the 13A613.
I think the middle digits need to be 13A613. Like this - https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...ed-hc3z13a613d
You'll need image processing unit B. If you have only the rear backup camera then you only have image processing unit A installed. You can also check via Forscan to see if you have only "A" or both "A and B". Image processing unit "B" is used by the 3rd brake light camera and the trailer add on camera.
If if someone knows how to add "B" I'd be interested.
