So there is a Sync 3 version 3.0 out? The link in the posts above is to Sync 3 version 2.2. Does anyone have the link to version 3.0?

Yes, SYNC 3 version 3.0 is out and about in the wild " UNOFFICIALLY" and it can be found on some other forums so proceed with caution if you download it to your system.

No word yet as to when Ford will make version 3.0 an "OFFICIAL" release and i`m confident in saying that it won`t be in 2017 but, I hope Ford proves me wrong.

Hope this helps you out.

Have a great day.

There is a newer version of 3.0 that was just released, build 17276. It cures the check wifi prompt that some had as well as some other bug fixes.

Installed version 3.0 last night. As previously mentioned it takes 22-24 minutes for the update. I did not notice any major changes so far. Some icons look different and it definitely responds faster when swiping or clicking on icons.

3.0 does add the heated steering wheel button to the home screen if you have it.

Dang it. I hadn't been following the recent updates on here. Just updated to the older 3.0 yesterday and getting the FM/WiFi issues. Looks like I'll have to try this update as well.

For those that did the "update", was it on top of the previous 3.0 installation?

I have the Sync 3 2.2 release I think from the factory. I have not tried updating yet to v3. Would I lose any of my Forscan changes I did if I upgrade to v3?

The ones that comes to mind is the removal of the CD source choice from the list of inputs, the NAV address input while driving, and the splash screen / UI theme changes. It's no big deal, but just wanted to know before I attempt to update. Thanks!

I did it yesterday on top of the earlier 3.0 version. Too early to tell if it fixed my problems, but the new build date does show, so it did "take".

In the three starts I have done since the new new v3 the FM default has not occurred. Most importantly it fixed my display view. I have the day/night set to auto with auto dim enabled. The previous v3 would not control the display brightness correctly with auto dim on.

I did the new 3.0 update yesterday over the original 3.0 update from the day before. Haven't seen the WiFi issue and I'm trying to see if the daylight/nighttime is working properly. Seems a little delayed but I've been driving a lot at dawn and dusk recently. Hard to say.

I still have the FM issue. If I go to AUX mode and let SYNC boot, then push button start, it stays on XM. If I go straight push button start, it goes to FM. That's a really odd bug as it still the initial "boot" either way.

Did the 3.0 update today. Will test it out this week and report anything out of the ordinary. The mustang forum guys seem to think this latest update is going to be shipping in vehicles, so guess it may be pretty stable. Hoping so.
