As mentioned previously, with 3.0, upon restart, the radio reverts to FM, instead of XM where I left it. Using the remote start, XM is default once I put the key in the ignition.
What's new? Found if I turn the radio off before shutting down, when restarted with key and I turn the radio back on, XM is default. No a big deal for me, just a minor annoyance.
Anyone found a way to turn off AM/FM in Forscan? I know XM can be turned off...
I tried loading Sync 2.2 (non-NAV) over 3.0 and it's not doing anything other than telling me something has been plugged into the USB drive. The download consists of two zipped files and a read me file. Unzipping skips over the read me file, and I also can't open it to read it. Should it install with just the two zipped files unzipped and on a USB drive?

Thanks!
Erik - I had to unzip the files before I could load it.

Thanks. I'll try again. I did unzip them, but to the same USB drive as the unzipped ones. Perhaps if I now delete the zipped versions it'll load the unzipped ones....
What about the readme file? Could not read it, could not unzip it...
remember the down loaded 3.0 is supposedly sill in "beta" it is not the official release yet. As far as I know so it will be buggy.
Does upgrading from 2.0 allow displaying Apple maps from the Ford sync home screen. Example, Apple maps would show the actual map where”maps” is shown on the picture
Negative - car play still does not show the map on the Ford sync home screen. I started with 2.0, upgraded to 2.2 and then to 3.0, and carplay does not show the map. I sure wish it would - I leave carplay disabled now, and will check again with each software update.

So I have 2.0 but the traffic works just fine. What is the actual benefit to 2.2 or 3.0? i can't actually find a definitive reason to upgrade.

No definitive reason I know of. I did the 2.2 and 3.0 hoping to gain carplay map functionality on the sync screen (which neither did). I'd say there is no solid reason to update the software. If you periodically watch this forum, a new update will flag quickly and prompt looking into an update. Otherwise just keep on truckin'.

3.0 is "snappier"....
And buggier. I wouldn't do the upgrade again given the opportunity.
