That time is now. Factory navigations have been a joke for a while. Gmaps/Waze, etc. Are so much better, up to date, accurate, feature rich, it's silly not to use em. Especially with the voice commands they have now.
I have the Nav because I had to with the lariat ultimate. It actually integrates way better into the sync system main menu than the apple car play. I will say it works really well. Far better than any nav system I've had in cars in the past(BMW 2008 and Range Rover 2007 and Chevy 2013) Sometimes I'll actually just use bluetooth audio for my music and plug the phone to charge in a charge only USB because I want to use the factory nav.
I wish i could have the option of using the factory nav when plugged into carplay.

I honestly don't use sync for anything. I only use Android auto.

Maybe you can help me then. I don't use AA for one reason, and it may be some kind of glitch. If I switch to AA, I can play spotify or another music app. Then if I stop spotify, a couple of minutes later, my stereo switches back to sync and starts playing sync radio, on some station. It could be AM FM, SAT... Its often at high volume and scares the crap out of me. It seems like SYNC continues looking for audio in the background and if AA doesn't provide audio, then it times out and switched to whatever it wants on sync. If I could fix this problem, I'd love AA. This is sync 2.0.

Hmm, maybe you just need to update to 2.2, mine doesn't seem to do that ever. Once it's in AA it will only play what I tell it to.
Oh, I dunno ... I used to wish the same until I saw Garmin list a gas station 3 miles behind me with the next in front being 35 miles away ... AND my low fuel light was blinking. What I don't like is their "miles away" figures are as the crow flies and not actual road miles ... found that real deceiving when motorcycle riding in the hills of WV.

Yes, run out of gas and end up like this guy...
I live in WV. and know of a few!
Where the edges of the clear bra are. Like where it comes up to the panel gap. It should be rolled over the edge of the body panel or stop just shy of it, leaving a tiny space.
Mine is nothing elaborate......just drilled a hole that would allow the charging cord to push through. Because the plastic was easy to drill I used a flex-shaft drill bit device. The entire mod took about a minute and half. Nice and tidy with no wires on the outside and doesn't interfere with the sliding door function. The iPhone rides nice there propped up at a good angle. I use Apple Car Play which is convenient as well.
This looks like the best option I've seen for this and I may be overthinking it, but could you show some shots of your drill holes? Looking at my cable, it seems like I'd have to drill a 1/2" hole. That and worried about having nasty edges from the drilling. Wish I could find some type of grommet to place after drilling. Still baffles me that they put those two USBs for connecting to Sync under a sliding cover with no conduit or pathway for cords. I keep looking at it like I have to be missing something somewhere.
TPMS low tire light does not go off just because you raise the air pressure beyond the low pressure trip point
low pressure is evidently 60psi on my truck, i run 65. left rear got low so i aired it back up to 65 and stared at that damned light for 3 days wondering why the hell it wasn't smart enough to turn itself off
so today i finally got out the manual to figure out the reset dance and to my surprise there wasn't one
so then i got to thinking about it and fired up the air compressor and took the tire to 80psi. light immediately went off
so if you have a low tire you have to take it up and over the low pressure trip psi and up to whatever other damned pressure they've assigned the warning light to go off at and then let it back out to your preferred psi

After adding just enough air to get above the triggering pressure my warning went off after driving for awhile.

mine went off at 60, i filled it to 67 according to the dash (65 according to my gauge). drove it about 50 miles in 3 days and it didn't do a damned thing but glow at me
filled it to 80, looked in the cab afterwards and it was already off. immediately lowered it back down to 65 and all is well with the world again
