Tonight while clearing the 6 inches of snow off the truck before i got a chance to start it, or open the door, I must of leaned on the Key Fob because while it was still covered in snow both front windows went down, I sat and watched as the snow stayed in place and the ****in windows are Going down, I laughed and thought Hmmm, Learned something else about the truck! I did not know i had that option, I guess it works better on the hot summer days!
HA ! (laughing w/ you not at you)
Its called global window down...and some jokester engineer decided you would NOT need global window CLOSE (ever) via the remote.
Thankfully You can ENABLE the "global UP" action w/ ForScan software (via laptop and

Same deal here, I guess I must have leaned up against something that put pressure on the fob. I came out in the morning and both windows were down, no wind so the snow was still sitting there, frozen straight up. I thought for sure someone had broken into the car. That is the strangest feature :-)
I found that when I wanted to listen to my Android playlist and still have Android Auto/Google Maps/Waze going, the volume for the Android navigation and Android music could not be separated. You can turn one up, and the other does the same. Sometimes it looks separate, but it is not. FWIW, my Honda after-market radio absolutely has two different volumes.
I put my music on a USB stick and plugged it in the lower front USB port. I never remove it unless I am updating the list of 3000+ songs. I still plug the phone in the upper port for Google Maps and now I have two different volumes.
Not exactly rocket science, but I need to hear turns.
Sitting in truck after you shut it off and lights dim out, don’t open door..you can pull your high beam (turnsignal) once and parking lights will come on for about 1 minute then shut off pull again and they come on again.
Haha, they all have that feature. Hold the lock button till they start rolling up to close them. To rolldown its tap unlock, then tap and hold till they roll down.
I had a similar event, however, my windows came down one evening when I apparently hit the button somehow. It had rained all night. No, we had a monsoon all night! It rained sideways and the next morning my brand new truck no longer had that "new truck smell". It smelled like pine cones, leaves and some funny smell. I think a feral cat took refuge in it during the deluge.
That was my 2014. Needless to say, I disabled that feature on the 2017.
NOTE TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY: If you have anyone reading these boards. Please! put an "ON/OFF button on the key fob.
the problem is FORD doesnt provide you with the OPTION to turn OFF global down - you have to enable it and enable the option/screen with Forscan.
It's in the cluster settings. I turned mine off for the winter...don't want to have Windows going down in the snow or cold. Maybe I'll turn it back on in the summer.
After you unlock your vehicle, press and hold the remote control unlock button to open the windows. Release the button once movement starts. Press the lock or unlock button to stop movement.

yes but you can NOT close the windows w/ the key fob / remote unless you enable the function via ForScan.

Sure I get that, but from your post it looked like you were saying you couldn't turn it off unless you used forescan...but I think I know what you meant!

I don't signal when I'm alone on the road. Call me bad, OK. There is nobody there, we live in the country.
I think its silly that we put so much emphasis on blinkers and lane departure. I understand warning others around you of your intensions but good defensive driving is so much more valuable. I find the people that are the most concerned with trivial road rules have never driven overseas. Asians are the best drivers I've ever seen and they rarely follow road rules.
I think our fixation with lane departure is a direct refection of our american egos. "this is my lane, and you better ask me permission before entering it"
. "this is my lane, and you better ask me permission before entering it"
Signaling before changing lanes, even when you don't see another vehicle around is defensive driving. It keeps one from hitting the car that wasn't noticed. I think we've all been guilty of that. Me included.
