Thanks Epic, yes I know about Forescan. Problem is I don't own a computer at home that will run it. My work ones are all locked down IBMs. I might have to commander the daughters Galaxy tablet to do this. I just wasn't looking forward to paying for the software and the fob for the OBD2 port and licencing ect.

Also, next oil change my diesel service tech said he will do the DPF% soot, the manual regen and see about TPMS lower settings and this double honk. I am hoping he can do all, but what he doesn't or cant i will end up doing forescan.

Grand total for FORscan access was $18 for me. Although you won't be able to do any changes from a Galaxy tablet, you need a Windows PC. FORscan is completely free, and you can get this OBDII module from Amazon for $18, works perfectly:

Their sense of smell is uncanny! If the module contains too much slush the smell will attract them from long distances.

Press the Traction Control button once to turn off TC. Press it twice quickly to enter "Sport Mode" and press it a third time to enter "AdvanceTrac" mode...

For washing your truck with power running boards. When you open your door step on them while closing the door and they will stay out.

I go thru the menu to advance setting and under running boards you can set them to out, auto or off. That's how I set them when I wash it so they don't auto close.

I still can't figure out what Sport mode does (there isn't squat in the manual about it)

Traction control is the obvious "traction control"
SportTrack is ESC / Electronic Stability Control

Sport mode is another way of saying "turns traction control off"

Don't feel bad. She's probably got a bunch of purses and shoes that you think she paid $10 for.

This is a good thread...

ESC (aka SportTrack) is stability control or anti SKID/Slide control (ala drifting)

- near as i can tell it works in combination w/ the steering (wheel position) and the rotational speed/direction of each wheel - it applies brakes or throttle (?) as necessary to keep the vehicle from power sliding or spinning.

Traction control is all about wheel spin (only).
