This is actually where my mind was. I am not sure that I would expect our trucks to "feel" much difference between adding 1" in diameter and 15-20 lbs per wheel when they are designed to stop enormous loads. As we start creeping up to 37-38" tires that weight 80-90 lbs, I being to wonder....
If you're going with 37's, its only about $130 bucks and maybe an extra hour or so of work. I would probably go that route, it can only help. I really didn't want to bleed those massive brake lines, and knew what it felt like already with my 35's on it, so just didn't feel the need.
Question 1:
I'm looking at doing a 2.5" Backcountry system with Full Rear Springs and run 35" tires on a 6.7 diesel, supercrew, shortbed. My issue is I have to fit under a fairly tight garage everyday and wanted to know how tall the truck will be at the top of the cab (the highest point) once the lift is on? Was hoping someone currently running the setup would know or be able to measure or have an idea of the before and after. (can't seem to find the answer anywhere)
Question 2:
If the Carli kit is too tall for my situation does anyone know the spring rate of the Carli spring or someone who makes a similar rate coil spring just without the 2.5" of lift. Honestly the rake doesn't bother me too much, I'm really looking just for a smoother ride.

Thanks for all the help!
Mine won't fit in my 7 ft garage, so right around there. Dont have an exact measurement for you, sorry. I do not know of anyone that makes a stock coil height with the same spring rate. Carli doesnt release their spring rate, so I doubt you'd find an exact copy. You can always talk to one of the spring manufacturers and see if they'd make you a one off, Betts, Eibach, etc. Might be expensive though, not sure.

For $315 I certainly think they are worth it. Smoother ride and more travel. The little bumps like rail road tracks and tar snakes, etc. were a big improvement for me.
Can someone who has the 2.5 leveling kit, full rear deavers, and 37" tires measure the distance from the ground to the center of your hitch? My truck is on order, and I need to order a equalizer hitch drop shank and am trying to determine how much drop I need. I am guessing the 2.5 front lift, full deavers, and 37's raise the rear hitch about 2", but its hard to say for sure. I ask to the center of the hitch because some people have 2.5" receivers, and some have 3" receivers.

remeber for every inch increased on tire diameter is .5” lift.
Stock tires in my 18 350 measure a tick over 34”. So going to 37” would increase height 1.5” not 3”
When I spoke with carli they claim 1” over stock on the rear with full deaver for 2.5” kit.

Yup, so I think this setup will provide about 1.5" lift from the tires, and 0.5" lift from the deavers. But that is my best guess, hopefully someone can confirm for me. When I read carli's site I read their 1" comment as a 1" rake after the 2.5" front lift, not necessarily a 1" lift over stock, but I could be wrong.

How much tongue weight does your trailer have? You loos about 1k lbs of payload with the full deavers.

Trailer is about 600lbs tongue weight, I was going to figure about 1" of squat with the weight distribution in place. Worst case scenario it squats too much I will have to get airbags to bring it back up, but hopefully I don't have to do that.
I have air bags over Daystar cups. I released all air from the bags and drove it a bit to let it settle then took the measurement, which means my bags were free floating with no contact with the cups. 21 5/8 to the center of the hitch.
I run 18 inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers which are at 55 psi today. The Nittos are 36 3/4 in. in diameter. They have a max inflation of 65 psi so the 21 5/8 might go up slightly if I were to pump them up to the pressure I tow at (65 psi).
If it is significant to you I will pump them up to 65 and re-measure, I will be working on the truck a little later today.

thanks Mark that is close enough. Just to confirm you have the 2.5 level and full deavers?
what parts from the 2.5" kit besides track bar can be used on the 4.5" kit?
I think I have heard track bar, front brake lines, and rear shocks are the same for both kits. can anyone confirm? I'll call Carli in the am to verify.
Does anyone think the 4.5" kit install is doable in the driveway using tall jackstands?
I have the 2.5" commuter kit and really want to upgrade to the 4.5" kit

Yes, sorry that is rather important also.
Carli Pintop 2.5 (that's with the King 2.5's as I imagine you are aware already).
Full Deavers.
For those newer to this suspension subject the ride on this setup is absolutely amazing, both on and off road.
It's a lot of dinero but I can't pry my wife out of the truck when it's time to go somewhere and at this point in life that makes it all worthwhile for me.
Here is my grandson in front of this Carli-suspeded truck.
