Installed the track bar yesterday. Only drove a little bit. From the short drive, it seems as if all the bumpsteer i had is now gone.
The install was easier than I expected. The biggest challenge was getting the stock bar ball joint to pop loose on the axle end. I actually ended up heating it up a bit and gave it a few more big whacks with a BFH and it popped loose.
Looks great! Thx for pix. Heading to CJC on Friday for 2.5 pintop install w deavers, radius arms and firestone bags. That is... if my wheels come in! Killin me.

Ride feels really good. Took some getting used to with having the hood level and not looking over it with the factory rake. Made me want to elevate my seat at first! 37x12.5s on a 20x9 rim with 5.5 backspace. Did have to trim a bit on the inner rear part of the front wheel well, but mostly the plastic molding. I'm finding myself looking around for bumps to hit just to see how it goes. No problems with handling that I can tell. I've been up to 80 on the interstate and it's pretty steady. No bump steer or wobble. I haven't turned on the lane departure yet, but I don't really ever use it anyway. The first night I got it back I was getting high beam flashed a bit, so I took it home to lower the headlights which is a pain. Plastic parts that don't want to move tend to break. Especially the front right which uses a cable system to adjust. The screw head basically separated itself from the cable. Parts are on order at the dealership. Here are some pictures. Happy to get more if there's anything in particular you want to see. Anxious to get it on some Forest Service roads next weekend.
Noticed that you have the Carli radius arms. Do the tires rub on the radius arms at full lock. The Carli arms are notched to allow more tire clearance. Wondering what your experience is.
Thanks,
Roly
Not sure if this was intended for me or not, Roly, but I have no rubbing at all on the arms. They hit the inner part of the rear rocker plastic on the front well, but trimming was minor.
weedwacker,
do you have the new track bar? I assume you do because you have the bada$$ pintop kit.
quick question how much do your front tires stick out on each side? are they equal?
With the new bar, my passenger side sticks out about 1/2" or so more than the driver side. This is with the length of the bar set to Carli's suggestion and multiple checks. maybe we are measuring incorrectly??
UPDATE: My axle is a good 1/2" more off to the passenger side. I talked to CJC, they said I am not the first one to notice this. They were going to talk to Carli.
I called Carli, measurement is what centers the axle on their shop truck. said I can adjust if I want to. I want to. I will do it when I find time.

Hey kylant. Sorry I just got back to civilization early this morning after driving to Wyoming and back for an elk hunt. The truck was a lot of fun to drive on those desolate ranch roads! Cattle guard vibrations are best avoided by having a Carli suspension and going really fast over them!
As far as I can tell, my wheels are symmetric from side to side, but that is just eyeballing. I will lay a level and tape on them sometime this weekend to confirm and get back to you. Same for the tire overhang on these 37x12.5s with 20x9 Sota AWOLs. Still a ton of unpacking to do.
Can someone explain the need for the add a pack? Seems a lot of guys are running 37's on the rear without doing anything. Is the pack necessary for any reason?

It greatly increases the ride, especially with a small bump stuff like concrete freeways. It's not required, but highly recommended.
Wondering b/c I tow my 10K lb boat maybe 1-2 times a year. I would rather have the best ride possible than worry about capacity. Seems I can add it or the full progressive later if I wanted then. My biggest concern was if it was 100% required along with the front kit. I had hoped I could have some time with 37's and the stock setup before I had to choose between the add a pack or full progressive.

Your rear end might sag with the full deavers. It's not as bad with boats. The full deavers are hands down the best ride improvement you can get. You can always add bags down the road if it's an issue.

Boats have very little tongue weight. Go Full Springs, they're way better than the add-a-pack and can handle 1,000lbs. of tongue weight with minimal sag. You can only run the full springs on the Backcountry and up, though. If you're leveling/Commuter, add-a-pack is the way to go.

Got my truck back today after 2.5" Carli, trackbar, and Fox 2.0's. It is a awesome.
Looks like you have the brake drop down brackets. I thought the Carli leveling kits came with new braided lines for the front?
Yes if you look at the individual parts they are priced the same as the kit (no discount for buying the complete kit). I chose to use those so I didn't have to bleed them. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't. I will likely go ahead and get them.
On the pass side side the tab works great, on the driver doesn't position well and you have to bend the brake line a bit.

Do you have experience with this? I really want the full deavers for ride, but I also don't want to have to use a weight distribution hitch or bags when towing our airstream with around 800lbs tongue weight. You say minimal sag with 1000lbs tongue weight. The full deavers put a bit of rake back on the truck, does 1000lbs tongue weight squat it back to level, or below level?
