They do. Plenty of turbo talk and education in the threads below if you have 2 weeks to read it and digest the information.

Got the Diamond Eye 4" Aluminized Downpipe, 360 rebuild, billet compressor wheel, and a new 6637 filter, decided to try donaldson this time. Only $10 more and they are claiming like 37% more airflow then the standard one. Plus there is a Donaldson plant near me so Im sustaining local employment and supporting riffraff all in one xD.

Playing the exhaust by ear. Not sure if I want to use the stacks I got, run an axle dump, or have it exit on the passenger side behind the rear door. I may just leave it at the downpipe haha. Nice n loud.

Hopefully these turbo parts are all theyre cracked up to be, $380 bucks. . .

Sounds like you are on your way!

Have you run any data logs on your truck yet? If not, it's time...before you get too deep into the mods, get a solid baseline and make sure she is solid and happy. A good foundation makes a strong house.

Oh- and pics- we need PICS! I think it's a rule that once you pass $300 in mods you are required to post some pics

I was going to do an axle dump when I got my MBRP but it requires the spare tire to be removed from the OEM location. I was not interested in relocating the spare so I went with the original side exit location.

Welp, Im planning to cut out the spare tire rack anyhow cuz I got a shortbed and that 29 gallon tank SUCKS. Gonna throw a longbed tank in there. So I wouldnt have that getting in my way. I will eventually do a tire rack either on the roof (i think it looks cool, cant imagine how much it kills mpgs. . .) or a rack in the bed depending on what I do for exhaust. I currently dont even run a spare. I need to get one ordered sometime. . . I have AAA so I can just call a tow truck for a ride home

All good information here. But this is the first I heard that the AIS flows 50% more then stock. I've never seen that. I know it has the fender sleeve if you install it, but not sure that filter flows that much. It's a very good replacement filter over stock, just never seen that write up.

Oh yeah, that was a major thread some time the middle of last year, Everybody was there, and boatloads of Data was shared for at least a week. But of course I couldn't find it if my life depended on it now. The bottom line was ANYTHING, flowed better than the stock box....I'm still trying to find it.

A rather old thread, but lots of data being tossed about....

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-shootout.html

Oh hell, just go to advanced search and look under "Air Filter Flow data", It's 7 pages long, and my eyes are burning......

Yes I've seen all these but no apples to oranges on these. You have to compair boost numbers at equal engine RPM's threw out to see real numbers. The AIS was designed to filter better then the stock set up. Not 50% more flow. The e99 only had the fender sleeve. The next year it changed to the front. Using both don't equal 50% more flow. The insert will only flow so much. More pressure more being forced threw. Just not as efficient as it could be. Anyway, that's my opinion, didn't mean to get off track here. Just wanted to set straight what I thought and many others.

Im close on turbo extraction, just the one clamp on the backside.

I went ahead and got some plenum reinforcements, clamps, and new boots. Also got some pedestal O rings.

If I have any boost leaks after this I have no clue where theyd be coming from

Plenums there self between block and plenum. Factory doesn't use enough sealant there and it will blow out after time. I removed mine and resealed with a bigger bead and reinforcement rings and no more leaks. I did use OEM sealant also.

Yes but prep is really important a nice clean surface will insure a properly sealed plenum. Or buy the riffraff billet plenums with come with an O ring and no more goop needed.
