That sensor on the front of the engine?....kinda important to operate correctly.
It was like that when I purchased it. I honestly have no idea what purpose it serves. I just know it's there lol. One of those things I keep meaning to sit down and go over but never do.

The tube runs between the front of the passenger's side exhaust manifold to that sensor. It follows fairly close to the block and it is hard to tell which end of the tube goes up but if you don't have it right it won't connect. The job is a little tricky but not bad. When attaching to the sensor use a wrench to hold the mount still or you'll bend up that mounting plate and earn an oil leak. There should be a nipple sticking out of the front of that manifold and you might even have some of the other end of the tubing still attached.
When I fixed mine I saw no improvement and I'm curious to hear how yours does.
I don't know but 5/16 sounds close and if you got fittings that work it should do. I'm all for making stuff for less and customizing new stuff a little but that tube is a bear when you have one that is made right, I'd expect it to be difficult to bend it right to fit where it has to go.

Yeah thats what Im hearing. . . Ill give it a go before I order one.
Hopefully the sensor is still good. And hopefully I can track down the plug. . .
On a different subject, looking at my old downpipe compared to my new one. I noticed that the factory one has some heat shield deal, I assume I need to recreate that on the new one? Or maybe Ill just tell my passenger its a custom foot warmer lol
I didn't use the heat shield and it's fine. It's up to you. The wife puts all kinds of things down on the floor and it hasn't been a problem.

OK, sounds good. Didnt really think I would need it, I figure its got enough space between the pipe and the floorboards moving at road speeds should keep everything cool. Just wanted to make sure, plus I didnt really feel like messing with it lol.
Getting some of the turbo back together, finally got all the clearcoat on it.
