If you use the reflection from the bulb of a florescent light on that panel you'll be able to see a dip in the clear coat in that area. I use the shadow from the rake handle when I'm doing grading, if it dips its low and if it rises its high. Shadow lines are a landscapers best friend when you're making and reading a grade or making sure a yard is smooth enough for sod. There's no puddles in my yards.
Problem is I filled all my body lines so would have to do more than I really wanted to. I hate the thoughts of pulling my fenders again so will leave it for now and see what happens..might be able to blend it where it's not too noticeable until it starts to look chalky in a couple years..
Build it up with lots of wax, lol. The part I wouldn't like is having to mask off the whole vehicle in order to clear coat 1 panel, flames or scallops on the drawing board, LOL.
I figured that might be the reason for hesitation.. I am getting a little rust on the lower inside of the door on my truck.. Guess I might have to look at doing a little sanding and painting..
