Hello, John, Shaun, Steve, Grant, Perry and all who lurk here.
6 degrees of frost here last night, no relief insight for the next two wks.
I`m going to finish up the exhaust on my 53 resto rod and a few other things before the real cold hits us John.
Have a good weekend Grant.
Are you working all weekend Steve?
It sounds like you had a few seasons all in one day John. After the rain, snow then did the sun come out?
-15 C is what the windchill will feel like Sunday as the snow rolls in to the start of October.
Twas a dry day and not to chilly, got $85 for my scrap metal, its worth $110 a ton right now. They have a guy now that uses a magnet to lift it out of the truck, probably an insurance thing. Tomorrow is Chinese puzzle time for the back yard and if it doesn't rain to bad I should have the big work done on Sunday and can be cleaning out the shop on Monday.
Thats for prepared, this tariff doesn't help and we're getting jammed up a bit with recycled metal. No hoist on this truck, just a flatdeck with wood plank sidewalls. Am hoping that I can get started on stripping off the front clip and pulling the drivetrain out of the 48 next week, so I'll start looking to see if theres anyone coming this way from Saskatoon that can load up that transmission Morris.
Good evening y'all.. it sounds like the shows are a whisper away.. My lows are in the low 60's for the next 7 nights.. and of course rain on my night off..
work went pretty good for me.. it was a bit tiring but I did take a couple sit down breaks during the time I was blowing down the area..
I hope that the tariffs don't drop the prices too badly, I have a bunch of aluminum scrape metal from left over airplanes to go hopefully this fall depending on the weather. I have a couple of one ton truck hoists I`m going to send to the scrap yards, doubt anyone around here will want them for even free. Let me know if you find anyone able to bring that transmission home for you Perry.
It`s good that you could take sit down breaks at work Steve, that works for me too.
