The panel is now sitting the height I wanted it, now waiting for a column drop before connecting the column to the steering rack and making some changes to my dash extension. Made the patches for the inner fenders today too and will start welding them in tomorrow..
It didn`t rain here today Perry, likely we`ll see it soon enough.
Are the inner fenders patches mostly just a flat panel or do they have to be hand formed John?

Hello everyone, it`s a pretty cool fall day here.
I did have a good day yesterday Steve, work went well.
Keeping busy Grant?
I`m glad to hear it was an easy fix John.
Its cold and a steady drizzle is coming down, was going to drop off this load of metal but don't really feel much like getting cold, wet and slogging through mud at the metal yard. Might do a bit of yard clean up today but nothing major as this is a bad weather day for my lungs.
Saw the doves scoping out the feeder so I figured it was time to refill it, these doves are getting a bit braver around me. With the variety of birds around the yard it seems to keep the magpies and crows away.
It`s cold and cloudy here too but no rain so far. Hopefully there`s better days ahead for your run to the scrape metal yard. I haven`t found anything that keeps the dang magpies or crows away yet besides lead.
I caw at the magpies when I see them or throw water at them if its around, they're not hanging out here as much as they used to. Its not unusual for the stroller pushers to stop and show their kids the birds and its normal for there to be 3 to 5 kinds of birds in the tree at the same time, kinda like the UN around the feeder.
Its been a drizzle all day so far but its supposed to be cool and dry tomorrow so that'll be my drop off day. I've got ground grips on the back of the truck and that's good traction when it has a load but when the truck is empty they throw a lot of this wet muck around and like to slip and slide in a lot of these dump yards. If I were to go to the dump on a day like this I'd be rooster tailing all the way up the hill and the back end would be trying to pass me going down the hill even if I was in neutral, this 1 ton has no traction in this weather. I'm tempted to use the tires and rims from the F250 this winter to see if that makes this truck safer.

I dug deeper in the panel today, removed the steering column, dash extension ,console and seats. Going to clean up the wiring under the dash and changing out the defrosters that Grant gave me now that there is more room with the column out..
Late this afternoon it felt as cold as it usually does on Halloween, it was quite windy and very cold. Frost advisory for tonight, scattered flurries Monday and Tuesday.
Too many tall trees for magpies to hide in here, the only way to reach them is with a 22-250. I had a 67 F350 dually that was fairly useless when empty in snow or mud till I took the outside duals off in winter.
Sounds like you`re really keeping busy John.
