I`ve had them for yrs Steve, seems that no one wants them. I really hate to scrap them but that`s what`s going to happen soon, I`m cleaning up my farm yard.
Hoist systems can be a hard sell unless you know an old school farmer or some Hutterites. Aluminum will hold its value as its expensive to produce and easy to recycle, metal is best when its a raw ore and the metal that we are getting tariffed on is the high grade pipe steel that we ship south, the standard steel is what we import and we're not restricting our trade on it because US steel has production shut down from Thunder bay to North bay south to Sudbury. Harper approved the US steel purchase of Stellco and they shut down the mines 4 years later even though they had tax breaks for 5 years to keep the mines open, the mines are still shut down in order to protect American production.
There's a guy that is heading this way on October 3, if the 2nd is a good day for you I'll contact him and see if he's interested in picking the transmission up. give me a PM, I still have your number.
None of the farms are small enough to use a one ton truck any more, same with the Hutterites, all run tandems or semi trailers now. The odd acreage guy but even most of those go with dump trailers. I`ll try to get the airplane pieces in this fall, they`ve been laying in the bush for yrs.
I have some work lined up somewhere near the beginning of Oct but might be able to work around that guy`s schedule so keep me posted. Worst that can happen is he might have to load it him self.
I had thought about using a hoist on my car trailer but since I have a gravel truck I decided against it as I wouldn`t likely get enough to make it worth while.
Ontario hydro is resting on the sabath John, that doesn't sound like fun, hope your freezer is in a cool spot.
Went to no frills yesterday and walked by the bird freezer and turkey was .77 a pound, didn't realize that a $13 bird is 17 lbs until after I got home so there's going to be a lot of sandwich meat in the fridge next week. Having an early Thanksgiving around here as most of the people I know are going away that weekend. It snowed off and on all day today and its supposed to be the same tomorrow, beats the hell out of rain.
