Up here our liability is usually in the 1 to 3 mil range in most provinces, the big thing are all the options such as fire, theft, glass, vandalism and collision and then you get to decide your deductible. Full comprehensive was double what I currently pay as of 7 years. My commercial insurance that was in my name for 27 years with no claims wasn't recognized and I was classified as a new insuree and was quoted rates of up to $5300 per year for basic insurance. I had been paying 900 for the cube van and 1400 for the 5 ton Brigadier per year in BC because of how clean my abstract is.
The figures I posted are just for liability only. I run full coverage which also covers glass, vandalism etc. I'm not sure what a commercial policy would run but for a year I pay about 2 grand. That is with full coverage and a higher rental allowance. I could lower if I lowered my rental coverage some and raised my deductible to 500 or 1000 dollars.
Another 2 garbage bins full of dead wood and the bushes are looking better now, 2 more weeks and the front yard will be all done and then its time to get the backyard all tickety poo. At least I'm getting some yard work done .
Extra insurance is available here too Shaun. I have 2 million liability insurance on my gravel truck, 1 million on my other vehicles, better to have it and not need it.
I used to think that it was better to be married and share the list but that`s not the way it usually works.
It rained a bit last week but I've been popping out dandelions and weeds so there's a lot of holes in the yard so its time to do some reseeding and let the grass get a bit longer in order to over power the next batch of weeds.
We have had so much rain in the last couple of weeks it isnt funny. The ground is saturated right now. We are going to have to worry about trees falling over on their own because the ground is so wet. So far today we have already 1-2 inches of rain. Yesterday was another inch of rain.
I`ve been pulling out foxtail plants and spraying for dandelions, so far the both are way ahead of me.
We`ve had about an inch and a half or rain, we may get a break for a few days now.
Morris I spray for poison ivy every couple of years. The stuff I use works well and keeps it down a good bit. It grows from a neighbors yard. Well time for me to hit the highway and head home for the day. have a good one guys.
