Nothing much going on here, I`m in a rain delay work wise.

Rain delay day here to so I guess it's banking and go to town day so that all my running around is done. The City works crew is sweeping and spit polishing the street as I'm typing so maybe they'll get rid of the riff raff also.

 

Hello Perry, so nice to see rain. The longer term forecast is for a hot and dry summer so it`s great to get this moisture.
I`m just in my shop cleaning up and sorting things out, from the looks of it you`d think I went to too many auctions.

 

Got home and the street was closed at one end as the area is getting water and sewage upgrades, what does road closed to traffic mean?.
This yard sale on the weekend should hopefully get rid of a lot of stuff and then I'll have room to sort out more stuff for next weekend and so on for the rest of the summer or until I'm rich enough not to have to stock up on crap.
Its been drizzling here off and on all day but it looks like its stopped for awhile, just in time to walk to the dollar store for yard sale supplies.

 

Evening everyone, rain off and on all day here too and kind of cold too 9°, they said we are in for a lot of precipitation this summer...just what I was afraid of..

We`re getting rain tonight too John, looks like the next 4-5 days are going to wet ones.

 

We've got a good forecast for the weekend so it should be okay for the sale.
Had a few conversations tonight about the auction house that I go to, I was told a few weeks ago that Ricks was looking into changing his program and was looking into either changing location, going online or a bit of both. Rumors have hit the peanut gallery courtesy of some of the backend staff so I've gotten a few 'did you know' phone calls about the situation. Naturally its been mostly misinformed opinions so I've pleaded to being unknowing about everything and have been dealing with gossip. He is changing the program in the next few months but there's no drastic decisions being made until the time is right . For myself its a chance to feed Rick a few marketing ideas and procedures so he can transition his business and make it easier to make a profit. It comes in handy having over 30 years of marketing experience and hopefully he takes advantage of the advice, in the meantime I get to play the role of the uninformed dummy that doesn't know anything but needs to squelch dangerous rumors. There's an open door here for me somewhere if I play my cards right . The fact is that's there's things he's not making the right money on because its not being sold online but he needs to dump out the inventory that is a pita to put online.

Hello Grant, how`s your day going?

 

Afternoon everyone, no rain today so finally got the weeds and what's left of the grass mowed today, 13° but feels cooler than that...

 

The showers finally quit, pretty cool at 12°C. More rain coming Monday so no chance to spray the dandelions till later next week.
What`s new John? We`re going out for supper at my son`s in laws tonight.

 

I'm going to break down and buy some weed killer and see how well it works, what do you use...?

 

You guys should get a goat, the city is using them and is having success. They got a female to look after them as she won't sexually assault them and the goats don't smoke dope or get drunk on the job and they show up every day.

We're having the last little bit of rain now and I'm making signs up and waiting for the rain to blow over, went to the dollar store for signs and am taping signs on the back side so that they're double sided.
