Mining wasn't easy on mine Morris, I was stupid to stay there knowing how hard it was but it was steady work that paid well..

It isn`t just mining that`s hard on bodies John, farming wasn`t an easy occupation to be in yrs ago.

Morris my problems are tendinitis in both feet, ankle issues a knee issue, back issues, both hands dotn work right anymore from working on way too many things over the years. I have lost count of how many times I have sliced my one thumb open because of my hobby.

Hello folks on a cloudy, windy but warm Wed.
Hello Shaun, a real bummer about the health issues that take away our quality of life in our later yrs. What is it about your hobby that causes cuts to your thumb?
Hello Grant, is it another busy day at work again?
Are you feeling a bit better today John?

I shoot flintlock muskets. And after so many shots the flint gets fouled with black powder residue. In the heat of the moment one has to wipe the residue off quickly and the thumb is the usual thing to use. Since the flint is sharp it usually slices ones thumb open. Leaves a cut like a paper cut. Sometimes you don't even realize it until you start cleaning your musket at the end of the day. As for the health issues the back and hand issues didnt start until I started working in the auto industry and running backhoes in high school. The foot problems I have had since I was really young due to surgery I had on both feet. Nothing worse then a tendinitis flare up along your Achilles tendon. That hurts alot.

I suppose it wouldn`t work to wear gloves while shooting muskets, damn that sounds real painful! I have a fairly bad back but feel ok while on the Bobcat, I`ve run my Bobcat for 39 yrs. No signs of any tendinitis yet.
Bummer that you`re still feeling the same John, rest up and feel better soon.
It`s really raining nicely here now, looks like a week of mostly rain. Great for the crops and grass.

Good evening gents
Nothing quite like the pleasures of being beat all to hell and back, probably why I refuse to be older than 16, young dumb and indestructible lol.
Another night at the auction, weird crowd tonight with lots of strangers, they better not want the pinball machines or its gonna cost them.

Give me the body of a 16 yr old, the mind of a wise senior and I think that I`d have it made.
I`m sure that pinball machine will keep you busy in bad weather.
Washington won tonight, I`m a pretty happy camper.
