These milling machines have to have a fair amount of heft to them because of how heavy the pieces are that they're milling. I'm hoping its big enough to do engine block work as it will pay for itself the first time I do some serious work with it. Theres a couple of 3.5 to 5 hp motors out back that don't work that well in my junk pile that I can develop my learning curve on. Machines don't scare me and I've been around these things as a kid so theres some familiarity with it. The bigger and heavier the better in this case, if its 1200 lbs the auctioneer is not going to want to load it and risk damaging it. I still have my 10'w x 10'h gantry crane that can be used.
My buddy Sigurd was around last year when I moved my shed and he thought it was going to be impossible. Fully finished 8x8 wooden shed drywalled, insulated, work benches, tools and equipment plus it had Hardie board siding with shingles, about 5000 lbs. I used planks, 4x4s, rope, come alongs and a pair of hydraulic jacks. I can pretty much move and place anything and my metal concrete stakes do make it a lot easier.
It`s amazing what can be done with man power used the right way. A friend of mine moved a single car garage across a back alley to his place using steel pipes.
