Got to play in the snow today, this truck is like having skis on the front and no traction out back, these 1 tons have 30" of rubber in back and no weight.
If it gets to bad, I may take the rears off the 250 and put them on the 350, may be pulling the insurance on one truck and with the way the 1 ton started this morning it may stay on the road. I prefer duallies with standards to hot rod 250s with an automatic for winter use. I'm not used to running anything smaller than a 1ton dually.
The reason I took the duals off is cause I didn`t feel like throwing on a bunch of extra weight for traction, I feel it makes stopping distances a bit longer.
I'm so used to driving on hard pack and rural roads that it comes natural for me to take the extra distance to stop. Knowing the safest routes to drive on helps, 35 years since my last actual accident. It's when I'm parked in front of the house that I get hit.
Good morning everyone, more snow in the forecast...
Ugh.
Parts of BC got hit yesterday...I laughed so hard when I saw Vancouver had snow on the news.
They get an inch and you would think they were bombed by a squadron of B52 bombers. They all panic and run for cover.
Here an inch falls and people are like COOL I HAVE A VALID EXCUSE NOT TO MOW THE LAWN. lol
No snow in my area at all yet.
But if an inch or two does fall soon, there will be no panic. To the Vancouver people though an inch of snow is a horrific thing, and they have no idea how to cope with it.
I shovel the steps and sidewalks.
Wait for the rest to melt.
