I was around flathead trucks as a kid but never had one for myself. Most of the farmers and the older generation still had 40's and 50's trucks that they still used and the motors always seemed to run so smoothly when they were tuned up. Weren't fast but they were always steady.
Only spent $120 at the auction but I picked up some personal items this time.

The very first vehicle I drove was dad`s 53 F350, I still have some great memories of those days.
Got the shoes on the heat vent along with a doubled pair of gloves drying out, time for a pair of ham sandwiches and coffee break and then its time to do some more setting up in the shop. Will take the load off the truck tomorrow and then go fetch my 79 cab and the shelf its sitting on, the planking should come in handy.
