Good morning everyone, all school buses were canceled here today and looks like you're going to make a pile of dough if you own a tow truck today...lol

It was foggy, grey and humid all day so that put a chill in the air.

My brothers assessment was pretty good, he's physically healthy, isn't as anti social as it seems, participates but stays an outsider, isn't having tantrums except if he's needed to leave the place so thats a workable situation. Power of attorney is next on tha agenda and that'll be done through the public trustee with his social worker representing his interests and she's on board with pushing the paper work through as it lightens her responsibilities with him and she can't represent him to the federal government which is where we're at with that.

Auction night but its not much of a show, will pick up my couches tomorrow as its been a long day already. This was one of those days where I had to be on the road by 8 not 11.

We have a white out going in a few places, it`s not bad but it is chilly out.
Sounds like a good time Shaun, knock over any big buildings? Just how big is the cannon?
It`s too cold for any freezing rain to happen here but it`s slippery enough without it Grant.

Nothing like that here but snow is supposed to be on the way here.

So far it`s been minimal Ian, one was a quick pass and another one that took a few hrs which isn`t bad. No chance of even a a short ride on the dirt bike without freezing the family jewels off.
If your brother is healthy and not overly anti social he`s doing better than most. How old is he Perry?

He turned 60 June 4th Morris

Slow night at the auction, only dropped $130 and lost out on a picture deal which would have been good for resale and display. They were a group of classic artists prints with mint condition frames, the guy wanted them bad and went to 240 plus premium and gst, about 290 in total.

He`s relatively young yet Perry, does he have any disabilities?
An odd slow night at the auction maybe a good thing.

No physical disabilities just the dementia.

I wanted to save some money for a different desk seeing as now I have a real office room. I'm on the hunt for a roll top with matching roll top filling cabinet, may have to refinish one or both to match seeing as the credenza will have to be redone.

Whoa, that`s a biggie. Is the type of rapidly advancing dementia?
If I had the room I`d love a roll top desk.

He doesn't appear to have rapid digression, but he's still in a readjustment phase. He went from living in a room rental house to a homeless shelter and then into a hospital mental health diagnosis ward over the course of 18 months and now he's been in a care home for 3 months where he can be monitored and looked after. If theres any major acting out it will probably show up in the next 3 months as he becomes more accustomed to the place.

Moving into town from the acreage was a major downsizing and this move is a move up thats closer to where I'm more comfortable with the lifestyle. I should have done this move 6 years ago but the market was pretty tight for places to live and having the stroke would've probably bankrupted me, but then again, I wouldn't have had to deal with the neighborhood junkies and lazy cops issue either. Hindsight is a pita sometimes so sometimes its best to wrap it up and put it in the back pocket and avoid the what if stress it causes.

I've always liked having an office as its nice to have a separate room to focus on that part of life, the office is probably my most personal room.
