I know here in Houston that some dealers will go to the rail yard and pickup the trucks themselves instead of waiting on transport. I call BS on what they told you. Do you know the last six digits of your VIN?
Your truck has definitely arrived Mira Loma. The rail car your truck was on is on its way to pickup a load of Nissans. Your truck has been on the ground since 12/01.

Called ford. They issued a case, but nothing from there. Said wait till Tuesday see if it shows up. It's been 7 days just sitting there. Ford won't help. Dealer won't help. I guess I'm stuck waiting

I'm on the verge of walking in to local dealership and purchasing one off the lot. Problem is I'm supposed to leave here next week to the desert. I'm not sure I'll get enough time to put 1000 break in miles before leaving.
Then again, I don't want to make a decision on anger either, even though this is beyond ridiculous
anyway to track if the truck has been picked up by the transport truck?
I know my truck was delivered to Roper on 12/6 which is 350 miles from its final destination
Supposed to be at my dealer 12/11, 2 days from now. Just want to see if it is on its way
The trucking company that has the delivery contract at the Roper terminal is pretty on top of things. You could call them but I know from experience that they are not open on the weekend. At this point you just go with your original plan which is to dry by the dealership every 30 minutes. The driver can drop off the truck any time of the day or night.

Kylant, I just googled your VIN. You might want to take a look at this link. It already has a stock number RN13708. Shows to be in stock. New 2017 Ford F-350 For Sale | Meridian ID

Rail car arrived in Mesquite on 12/03 for unloading.
Correct. Any clue what this means as I'm located in Nebraska. I've contacted Ford and they say it's in transit with no ETA. Was supposed to be delivered to my dealer earlier this week

I'm guessing your truck will be transported by truck from Mesquite, TX to your dealer.
