Makes no sense. My salesman has given me rail car tracking info every other day and the last three consecutive day. I was in his office and he showed me it as a ford site.
You know that insurance commercial we see on TV all the time where the guy goes "No, you picked the wrong insurance company!". Perhaps, we could substitute "....the wrong dealer!"
BTW, TrikeDawg, I did not forget my promise to post pics over here when I get my truck. Problem is, it's still in Rolla at the ramp. Waiting since Monday. Oh, well!!

The railcar your truck was spotted for unloading at 08:41AM and was unloaded by 2:40PM on 02/27.
In Houston, I've seen dealers coming to the unloading facility to pick up vehicles instead of waiting for transport. It could be since your F-450 is a dually, it probably has to ride on the top deck of the transport account of the width which would limit space available for your truck. Asked your dealer if they could expedite delivery by picking the truck up directly from the rail facility.
Thanks TrikeDawg, I've tried really hard to sit patiently and wait. I've now sent my dealer an email asking why they can't do exactly that. I'll wait till Monday and see what happens.
Have a great weekend. Going to be close to 70 here tomorrow. Not sure where you are, but hopefully you can get some quality trike time in!

Unfortunately I'm working after being off for 19 days. Just got off of a train 2 hours ago and I'm my hotel room getting my rest for a 5AM departure back home.

Really sorry to hear that part. Get some rest and we'll get after it again tomorrow! Right?
Hey guys.. I got my rail car number this morning. TTGX96R287. I don't know who owns the tracks but they're all U.P. engines, I thought they were Birkshire tracks but I could be wrong. Rail car is in or on the way to Benicia, CA. Any chance this thread is still going? I went to the rail yard/ramp and the Ford parking lot around the corner to see if I could see the truck or the rail car.. No luck. But it's right down the street from me, I'll keep trying..haha

Thanks for extra investigation TrikeDawg!! I thought the same thing once I went out to the ramp and saw all the cars didn't have the letter. But, you got great info here.. The last one 657 is mine.. So the car pulled out on the first huh..? That would mean the truck is bayed, waiting for transport..
Trikedawg, can you track based purely on VIN or do you need the rail car etc? My truck in in transit via rail, but my sales rep has been on vacation and not due back til mid-week. My ETA is 3/18 and I am in South Central KS. I'm not even sure where a rail destination would be in my neck of the woods. I suppose it could be Kansas City, but that's 200 miles away from me. VIN 1FT7W2BT8HED08712
Thanks and hoping you are on a happy, uneventful train ride this morning.

I will need the railcar number to track and I have only a 50/50 chance of tracking it depending on which railroad handles the railcar to the final destination. I can only track west of The Mississippi River.
