DDT11 and Nullop, your trucks are on the move again on the same train after spending 18 hours in North Platte and should arrive in Benicia on 11/23 @9:38PM and Milpitas on 11/24 @1:05PM.

Thanks. I know everyone would rather things moved faster on rail, but when I look at the logistics, it's amazing anything gets to where it's supposed to go. I take it you are in the industry, what part?

Sweet, thanks for the update! Ford regional rep called me this morning said they were somewhere in Nebraska, must have been there!
Thanks for keeping us update, you're awesome, it's good to know!
I'm heading to Whistler for our yearly Thanksgiving tradition of.. snow boarding and skiing in bad snow and eating/drinking.. Sad the truck wasn't here before hand, now it'll be sitting at the dealer when I get home on the 29th!
I see that there are three locomotives, do they use all three all the time or only to get up to speed/up inclines? Are they all linked or does someone have to be in all three? Are there multiple crews on board or do the trains stop and change crews after a set amount of time?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions, just curious.

Depends on the territory they're crossing (i.e. heavy grade, flat plains). Sometimes the only run one, sometimes all three. They are all linked together on the head-end by a cable. Sometimes, some trains will have locomotives in the middle and/or rear of the train and they are linked my radio. Only one crew on the lead locomotive, a condutor and engineer. The crew change points really depend on the territory and the amount of traffic it sees. In my area we travel 245 miles before we change crews, we get rested, and then head back on a different train. Hope that answers some of your questions.
