It is possible, but unlikely. Does your block heater work? You could try plugging in the heater and get under the truck to see if you hear the element or feel the element working. Let it warm up for a bit and try to fire the truck up.
Where is the block heater located?
Currently cleaning the IPR but Ill try the glowplugs in a bit once I get this put back in
Ive got it set up now to where I can do data logging on my diablosport predator and then play it back on my laptop, so let me know what you guys need to know and I can tell you if its there. Im gonna figure out a way to put it up here so you guys can watch it.
Brother, you have to learn how to use the search function at the top of the page. I am interested in what the fix action is to your problem and hope you find it soon. Although most of the questions you have asked could have been answered much faster than waiting for a response.
So while inspecting my IPR, I noticed that the little orange O ring seal thing from the plug is gone, not sure if its still in the engine or what. But that wouldnt cause a no start would it?
Walleye, would just standard rubber rings work or should I just leave the old ones on? They dont look bad
If you are missing an O ring you have a problem. I reuse O rings as long as they are still soft and in perfect condition. That means no flat spots, no dings, no scuffs and no tears. I'm told I'm cheap but I have never let it stop me. Most guys will tell you to never reuse an O ring. Glow plugs are not something that you 'plug in' for starting, they work automatically and before replacing you should test them through the valve cover connection. (Picture copied from posting on here).
What you do is check ohms on the glop plug pins. I forget what your reading should be but someone else will know that.

Yeah, that last one was definitely within my reach. . . sorry if I have come off as wanting to be spoon fed, last time I tried google I got my IPC and IPR mixed up haha. That link gave me a good laugh thanks for that.
Anyhow, I found a cracked O seal on the IPR EDIT : Just seen a video disassembling the IPR, found out that seal is supposed to be like that.
@Walleye, I know you dont plug them in to use them, I meant should I try that to warm things up a little bit.
Also, that little orange seal Im missing, is that something where I have to go to the dealer or would they have that at any parts store?
I would clean it with solvent the best I could. That O ring is supposed to be split? I haven't found that one yet. One thing that I have found with the O rings...while many can be used right out of a standard O ring kit a fairly large number of them are not the same thickness that came in my kit so I have to buy some. If you do not have one to match it up with from the parts story I'd recommend buying the right thing from Riffraff, Diesel O Rings or a dealer. And what is that thing you have in your hands? My IPR doesn't look like that.

So degreaser will work correct? I was watching a video of a rebuild and the guy said that O ring was supposed to be split, and the new one he put in was split as well.
Is it OK to not replace the O rings? they look fine and I dont really have the time to wait on new ones. I mean its not that hard to get it back out.
I had a pair of vice grips on the end of the IPR thats probably what youre seeing
OK so this is what I have for cleaning the IPR, will it work OK?
Had someone suggest warm water and soap but I dont think thats a good idea, water and oil dont mix so if I dont get all the water out then I might have issues
If it were me, I would remove the o-rings and clean it with brake cleaner. Although, I have not watched the videos or searched for what is recommended.
I would guess that that stuff would work. I use solvents that I buy at the hardware store, xylene and acetone. I used to get toluene at my local ACE but they don't have it anymore, they are pretty much the solvents used in brake and carb cleaner, which I use as well.
And I reuse O rings all the time, if they fail then get new ones.
So I got it set up to where I can monitor everything on my laptop, got nothin on fuel pressure thats IPR failure correct? Also nothing showing up on ICP MPaA. Im gonna go run and get an IPR before the auto parts store closes. Also, there are 2 cables in the valley with the same plug for the IPR, how do I tell what they go to?
EDIT : I just tried each one no difference, Ima go get that part. Still dont see where the second one plugs in. . .
The plug that goes to the fuel heater is female right? Kinda square? Yellow? Cuz if one of those plugs that looks like they go to an injector is supposed to go there then I gotta figure out where the plug that is currently in the fuel heater is supposed to go. . .
UVCH link in my signature and the last link in my signature will prove very helpful. That cracked O-ring looks like it will leak all your ICP out, causing a no-start.
