I got all this with my truck. Dealer told me to come back and they would install it for me. I told him that I would wait until I got a new trailer. When ever that will be I don't know still looking.
I will be installing it myself as I don't wont their techs that know nothing about rv's working on mine. I am particular how I want it run, I don't want the cable to just run across the roof and down the front. I also don't trust them on my rubber roof. Main thing is I want to try and tie it in to my existing camera.
i would really like to see if TPMS works with steel belted radials ( i think i have 14 plys on my trailer). I know the instructions say they don't but i figure its just CYA stuff...
I too hope that somebody will try TPMS on steel belts and post here.
I want to know, also, how the sensors are programmed, did ford pre-program to the truck before it left the factory? or do we need to take the truck and trailer in to get them programmed.
I am not sure where they go but the camera has 4 wires to it. You can see the color coding from the pic.
They are probably power, video and two grounds. My 2017 will be my first truck with a trailer camera but I can't imagine them being any different than an analog security camera.
scidlik, if you have an ohm meter see if you have continuity between the two purples, or any of the 4 wires. Also check for continuity between the pins and the frame on the truck side.
Would really like to see some pics before, during and after installation of the truck harness and connectors.
Anybody? Bueller? ...... Bueller?
I don't have any pics handy but switching out the rear plug took no more than 1 minute and no tools. You unplug the existing wiring harness from the back of the plug. push the tabs on each side in and it comes right out. Push the new plug in place until the two side clips snap in place. Plug the light cable back into it. Reach right above the plug for the camera plug, take the cap off and plug it in. May sound like a lot but very easy.

I would love to help but electronics have changed over the years and when you check ohms or continuity you send current through possibly frying out something. A schematic may be a much better solution.
