Trailer Camera and TPMS Kit
We made the 30 minimum order. So all orders are good to go from now on. Remember the last day to partake in this is on the 31st.
Please please please remember to tell them what year your truck is in the order notes or by sending an email to tony@navtv.com along with you order number. This is important to make sure you get the right one.
They also wanted me to let everyone know that they will be offering their aux trailer camera to anyone who buys any of these modules at a 20% discount. Retail is $400 you will get it for $320. You can even purchase this up to two weeks later (after the promo is over) and still get that discount. The kit is almost factory and shows up on the aux video on the screen.

I am not affiliated with the company. Simply trying to pass the savings and partake in them as well. It all started when I wanted to see the Aux camera that I have mounted on the back of my RV. After much research, I found this product and looked like it will exactly what I need and then some. So I reached out to them and asked if they would be interested in doing a group buy. Below is what they offered. ****Group buy alert *****
Here is the moment we have all been waiting for. The promo codes for the Camera on demand module from NavTV.
This will work on the 2017+ super duties that have the 5 camera systems. If you have a 2020+, you will also need to make a small programming change with Forscan or you can purchase a programmer from NavTV also.
Codes:
HMF50 for the COD-F50 for $300 (Retail $425)
HMF53 for the COD-53 for $450 (Retail $560)
Include the year and make of the truck when you place your order in the order notes field.
We will need to have 30 by March 31 or all orders will be canceled.

The Forscan change:
Thanks again for organizing the group purchase. Early on I whined about having a short window in which to order but that's the way this was for some reason. I ordered mine and got it.
I'm going to install it this weekend after confirming with Tony at NavTV that it won't affect the factory operations/functionality even if I don't do the FORScan change. And it might even work (I don't do FORScan and I didn't buy their $80 box to make it work).
One note: Tony had me plug in the module with the provided USB cable and go to their website - at the top is where you click to update the firmware. I updated mine to 2.2.1 - the process was very easy - I recommend a laptop rather than a MacBook (I have both) as the Mac didn't "see" it while the laptop did right away.
I special-ordered a 2021 XL with the Ultimate Trailer Tow PTBA Kit and Sync 3. In configuring the order with the dealer, Ford would not allow me to order the "Customer Placed Trailer Camera" #653/65B to arrive with the truck (but not installed) unless I upgraded to an XLT or higher trim. Since I wanted the vinyl seats, and the dealer said we could get the rear trailer camera to work, I decided to go with my XL order but had the nagging concern that the necessary wiring for the camera 12 pin connector would not be on my XL..
Based on recommendations on this thread, I ordered the Trailer Camera/TPMS kit Part LC3Z-1A189-D from Levittown Ford, and they delivered in 4 days. The switchover of my XL bumper 7/4 connector to the kit's 7/12 connector was easy, and the 12 pin wiring was there unused on the frame near the spare wheel. I connected the camera temporarily to the two harnesses in the kit to test before installation, and it showed up on my Sync 3 in the Aux Camera frame as intended.
Two quick installation questions please:
- I want to now disconnect the camera from the wiring harness to install the harness on my trailer, but don't see a release on the connector which is wholly inside the camera body. Is there a release on the connector, or is it just a hard pull? The instructions only address connecting, not disconnecting.
- The kit came with the "Camera/TPMS Front Harness" that attaches to the trailer, but only has the TPMS and Camera connectors, but not a Yaw connector for a gooseneck trailer. Is there a separate Front Harness with all 3 connectors as described in the instructions that can be ordered separately, or do I need to order a different camera kit part # to get the Yaw connector included?
Also, FYI I described my XL trim, UTTT-PTBA and Sync 3 configuration to Tony at NAV-TV to confirm that their COD-53 would work with my somewhat unique configuration. He thought so, but has not confirmed. Now that I know the Trailer Camera Kit works as intended on my truck, I have more confidence to order the COD-53, as I want to add some inside the trailer cameras and the normal drive operation to my camera/Sync 3 setup
.
As far as removing the camera plug, it looks like inserting a small flat blade screwdriver in the narrow slot on the top of the connector will release it.
