Congrats on getting the truck to fire up!! I know the feeling when I got the 79 running again. The leaky valve sore is fixed. Going to order a new sending unit this weekend and then drop the tank.

I had the wife run by Harbor Freight and get a 1/2 drive 30mm and up metric set. She got the set with the swivel built in so that's even better. My son will have a nice set of tools and tool boxes when I'm too old to wrench anymore.

Put a Track Adjuster in an excavator today, I am really feeling it now. Thank god tomorrow is Friday and a long weekend!!!

I've been thinking long and hard about it but I'll need 2 trucks and 2 trailers. But I'm making 2 trips, 1trick and trailer this round. The other round 1 of each as well to finish the move. Dad will be bringing the rest of my toys when he can make the long weekend to help bring my garage back to glory

Also, ran the ford again, Motorcraft carb is trash. So I went and swapped the new and good parts to the reman carb I have, slapped on truck, leaked fuel out of accelerator pump. Okay, go to change it. But the issue I have is the truck won't idle. It feels like a vacuum leak, but I have all vacuum ports plugged to keep it internal, since I don't have anything vacuum operated. So toss me possible solutions. I have air, I have spark, and I know I have fuel. Idle jets are turned 1.5 out, but still smells like straight gas when holding a higher rpm. Air filter is off, and I'm thinking I might slap it on to see if there's a change.

Have you checked the floats? Air filter should not make a differance. Spay a soapy solution around the base of the carb where it attaches to the intake

If you could get a 40 container you could put both trucks in it then have somebody like u ship ship the container out there. The added benefit would be you would have storage after you got out there.

Figured out the leak. Dad had the gasket under the EGR plate flipped causing the leak. She runs great. Idles nice, gets warm. Have to supply power to switchs, put air hat on, and hang trans cable, adjust brakes.

Sorry I haven't been on here on a regular basis. I have been leaving the house at 4:30 AM to beat the traffic and get me a little overtime everyday. I put a track adjuster on an excavator on Thursday. It took me 6 hours to get it apart and the old part off. Then took me only 2 hours to get it back together. I am learning some new stuff and have a pretty good time but my back is killing me.

I picked up a new inline fuel filter and a carb plug kit yesterday on the way home yesterday. I have to order the new fuel level sending unit today.

The job and family always first over a forum. Spend the overtices money on a deep tissue massage

I just need to sit in the hot tub for a little while. I think it's better than a message.

I texted my wife on Thursday as I was putting the thing back together when the sun was beating down on me. I told her when we make it to Disney World they better act like it's the best vacation ever!!
