All I have worked on is excavators. I had to removed a bent belly pan and there was about 4 inches of dirt that fell out with it. It looked like I had been wet with a hose and then rolled in dirt. I was totally beat down by the end of the day. It's 7:30 and I can hardly keep my eyes open.
Working for a living sucks Glad I don't do it anymore
It just makes me want to double down on paying off the last of my bills and get a few toys and then finally hang it up for good. Still trying to figure out how to juggle the stuff I did around the house during the week around my new work schedule.
The plus side is I am slowly getting some new tools. I had the stuff I need to work on vehicles and around the house, Right now I know I need some larger metric impacts since the machines use bigger bolts than vehicles and a creeper. A 3/8 and 1/2 electric impact would be nice too. No one hardly uses air tools there and I have been working outside my bay, so dragging an air hose all over is no fun.
I went to Lowes and bought some 24 volt tools yesterday, I got a 3/4 impact, 1/2 impact, 1/4 driver and a drill. I also got a 2 foot long 3/4 breaker bar and some deep well metric impact sockets and a foam knee pad. I also bought a rechargeable light, magnetic tray and regular depth metric sockets from harbor freight. That should be good and get me by for while. I got some new screwdrivers off the MAC tool man on Wednesday. They are nice but still not sure if they are 175 bucks nice.
Too late I bought one because they had it on a special for 18 bucks so if it sucks I will trash it and get a dog bone creeper. I only need it to install belly pans which I hope is few and far between.
I brought my craftsman screwdrivers home and going to bring my 3/4 air impact and the few impact sockets I already had back home too. I need to have something to use around the house.
A friend of mine cut some 2 inch wide metal strips and attached to the bottom of one of those creepers helps some. Mac and Snap on you pay for the name
Save all your receipts for tools maybe tax deductible
The truck is now gray. Got an early start. Washed it, taped and covered stuff, shot one coat of DTM epoxy. Got some spots I need to rework a few areas before the second coat.
Had to go to paint for cars.com to get the colors. Summit does not carry the non metallic gray any more. Order the paint today should be here before the weekend.

Got a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that rolled into the shop.... Hit something hard, broke the axle, driveshaft is bent, and it decided to eat the engine block and trans bellhousing area.... Cracked the engine block and did some serious damage.. Its pretty bad.
I got the AC working in the 79 on Sunday. It's not new car cold but it's pretty cold for not working in who knows how long. At least 5 years I know of. The front left tire keeps going flat, the valve core was loose but my tool was at work.
