No I sucked what little there was left of old gas, There is only one fuel filter and it was clogged so I cleaned it out and got it running again. I found a loose plug wire, adjusted the timing and just a tad on the fuel mixture screw. This thing runs like a top now, I can tell you it has never ever run as good as it does now. The AC compressor still comes on but does not blow real cold. The radiator shroud is half busted off but I am sure it still needs some freon.

Brakes still pulse really bad when stopping so I guess I will start with the front and put on some new front rotors and pads.

It runs super, hot and cold. The choke has never worked since daddy owned it but it works now!! If you couldn't tell I am super excited to have it running again! I forgot to get some 134 when we ran into town today to see if I can get the AC working again.

For sitting for almost 3 years and the only thing that doesn't work now is the fuel level gauge, I guess the sending unit is toast but you know if that's the worst of it I'll take it.

well guys, 6 job offers yesturday. 1 major chain put me through the drug screen and such. Everyone else said call me when you are here and ill have you in the shop. So im going to give myself 2.5 weeks to pack and such.

My property has been white trashed out. I have some TLC to do. What was once a beautiful garage now is missing doors and has beer cans all over my land. Door frames were out back, so I can rehang them and put the wood back on I once had

I am very glad this all happened, as if I went home with 1 or 2 offers I would have been skeptical on the move,

Thank you Hugh !!
It was good to see you again!! It didn't really hit me that my Army career was coming to an end till the ceremony started. The guys from my maintenance shop gave me a plaque, I had to run to my unit and they gave me award and then had to hurry to retirement services by 11:30 to sign my DD214. I am good to finish up and sign out for good on Friday. I am taking my tool box to Yancey today so I am ready to go on Monday.

Glad to hear that it's working out for you Jacob! It's always good to have multiple offers on jobs.

Thanks man! This feels sureal now. I have so much to do and have to wrap my head around it.

But girlfriend has noticed a huge change in my attitude. She noticed I was way happier and calm. She now understands how bad Georgia is for me. It was toxic

I got my toolbox loaded on the trailer today but was not real easy. It took me and my neighbor over 3 hrs, a come along and 3 ratchet straps.

Congratulations Chief, welcome to the civilian life, and good luck with Yancey.

Jacob, wish you luck, and happiness going back home. It is a big step, but you have to do what makes you happy.

I have been repairing the radiator support for the last few weekends.

Hugh, it's been a slow go, but repaired the radiator support.

This Saturday, I was able to start putting it back into the truck
