Project : EXCURSION

I'm going try and keep up with all the issues of getting this bad boy up and running. The first thing was to clean it out, there was a ton of junk left in there by the PO. I did find some unusual items in the truck, one of them being a bottle of Prozac. I guess he just couldn't take the stress anymore. I charged up the batteries to see the condition of them as they where 9 months old, but where totally dead. They hold a charge and test good (duralast gold from auto zone) I have my new Norco genius charger on them giving a recondition as I speak.
I had dome light issues but I think I found that problem. As I was cleaning up all the door jambs with WD 40 to get the grease off from some over zealous moron and low and behold the dome lights went out......score! Simple Green is going to be my friend, I hope, as the engine bay is a total mess. After 220,000 miles of neglect I've got my work cut out for me.
As for engine parts I need a clutch fan, turbo clean up kit, filters intake gasket kit, updated turbo oil lines FICM injector harness, uppipes (I may go ERG delete as there was a new in the box kit from Semding Diesel or something like that) I put a call into Antony at Super Duty Service but no one seems to be answering the phone for the up pipes (I'd hate to use the competition) and I have to make a call to FICM repair as it's going there right off that bat (PO said it was blowing black smoke, ie the reason for the tear down?) and yes pics are coming as soon as I figure out this new phone. I'll tell ya'll how much I payed for it after it's done and how much money it costs to have a nice truck on the cheap (I give ya a hint: I stole it, almost),and the best part it's white! Let me get back to my other project before the wife kills me AKA : the kitchen

I was doing a country wide craigslist search of excursions the other day. Its absolutely crazy what some dealers are asking for them. I've seen Low mileage 7.3 excursions with 26,000$ asking prices. Defiantly worth bringing back to life, interior looks mint
