I ordered a full rebuild kit for the turbo ,a Garrett one no after market. I'm going to get everything ready to go,right down to the coolant filter. I don't think it has an injector issue as the PO stated. I think it had the rare disease called "Lacamatance". Once I get the fluids rolling around and up to temps,I'll change everything and call it done and then drive the snot out of it. I'm still at under a grand in parts,so I can't complain

That must be the technical term... often referred to as "idontgiveashizit" for us layman folk. For the most part not contagious!
When I pull the turbo out I'll see which y pipe is wet if that's the case.......I hope. Still have to get my scanner and do a complete check on all the vitals. Has green coolant in it so it definitely needs a flush.
I was going over the truck last night a taking a less rushed approach to whats got to be done while waiting for the turbo rebuild kit. Knowing that the beast lives,I started to check out the front end and the other goodies under the truck. I knew the 4 wheel drive locking hubs where missing. Well I found then in a bag under the seat,I have no idea why they are off,if they are damaged. God only knows, remember, I found a 3/4 full bottle of Prozac in the console, so any reason is out there. I'm going to give it a good detail on the inside and maybe clean the carpets today as it's nice and cool out. My friends son is supposed to come by today(he going to start diesel class at school) so maybe I'll have some help getting the trans out of Big Blu so I can get that project under way(Broken STC fitting throu the back plate) I have a full day planned. Oh and I'll take some pics and post later
220 on the clock. Just got done giving it a good vacuuming.I'm now $5.78 cents richer,2 dollars where bills down the seats.Oh,the Sirus stereo booted up and it plays. Was listening to the Highway all morning while cleaning, then the thunder rolled in.Put most of the stuff in the garage and cleaned all the plastics and stuff till the windows fogged over and called it quits till the rain stops.
Nice shes got a lot of life left in her...good luck. Hopefully you get the injector/oil issue sorted out. If it were me Id pull the injectors and reseal them just for piece of mind.
It's too bad that there is no easy way with the 6.0L to get
almost all of the oil out when doing an oil change. That
residual amount in the oil cooler reservoir and the HPOP
system. There is a lot of dirty oil carry-over at each change and
times like this is one of the times where if you could get more
out it would be better.
When I first got my truck the oil was very clean and stayed that way
for a long time. It had a oil cooler and head gaskets done. So that
meant a lot of the above mentioned oil carry-over did not happen.
Well Jack it looks like your the winner. I was heating it up to temp and got to about 140 or so and noticed the check gauges lite on .Shut it down and read the codes, tried to start it up and it hydro's so now I'll find out which injector the hard way
