.... Maybe I'll take Jack up on his IDS offer before I send the FICM out. .....
Let me know if you want to try it. I'm about 25 minutes away, wife project dependent.

I don't think she's waiting for a ride. From her stance I think she's thinking if this truck doesn't start moving soon I'm claiming it as my doghouse in the backyard.
One female or the other ... Try a wife, daughter, and three granddaughters. No understanding the amount of time required for a proper project. Yeah, I know, Girls Just Want To Have Fu.un.
OK, I guess this is what everyone,(including myself) has been waiting for. I now have a excellent running Excursion. I found the problem, brand new harness had a bad lead in the connector. I saw it by accident(thanks to Blades) I went to ohm out the injector and saw the copper in the morning sunlight. A brand new harness,I wonder if Ford will warranty it but it's fixed. Plugged it in and did a buzz test with the scanner (I'm getting better with it as I use it,spends too much time at my friends shop) and fired it up. I got a smile from ear to ear. I can't wait to go to motor vehicle tomorrow. Now for the other maintained item's to be checked, brakes ,4wheel drive, trans, A/C,a and the list goes on. I like to thank everyone that helped out,I do appreciate the input as sometimes you can get crazy with things a not stay focused on the task at hand.
OK,I guess I have to let the cat out of the bag as they say. I went over the truck while it was disassembled. A few things I opted for I really didn't have to do,I did it so I wouldn't have to do it down the road. I did the harness and ICP as they are known problems and a few other items from Ford. That bill was 700 dollars. Next was Diesel Redemption that bill was 350.RiffRaff was 200 Then came the injectors that bill was 1600. The total parts bill is a little under Three grand. Well the parts where more than I payed for the truck. I went to see the truck and the PO wanted 9k for it. I got it for 2500. So, you to can have a good running truck for under 6 grand. Is it going to need other stuff? I'm sure it is. Was it worth the effort and time? Hell ya,I can sell it tomorrow for 12 k easy. I got a few little things left to do and a few mods but it can be driven right now, no problem.
I could have fixed it for less too. I did it cause I'm going to keep it. I have spare parts now as far as I'm concerned. Y'all got to remember, I have 2 6.0 now. Got to watch twice as much LOL. All it really needs now is a Alt and it should be good to go. I'm still sending the FICM out too.

At least you spelled "Y'all" right this time... Sorry, I spent too much time in Texas and couldn't pass that up
So read up on Jack's cable upgrades and might as well do that while you are doing the rest -- cheap and easy to do. If price is an issue: get a 140A from a nation-wide chain and an overdrive pulley. If you can spend a few bux, get a REAL LN Unit...
Already did the wiring upgrades while I was working on it. I do a lot of marine work on the side, had the cable in stock. I think I posted a thread, can't remember. Here a pic.
Well, took it out for a blast, all legal too. Runs good, shifts good, drives straight. Needs left front hub thou, its singing real loud. It's got Skyjacker shocks on it and it rides like a Lincoln (can't ride like a Caddy, its a Ford) A few odds and ends and it will be a really nice ride.....Im a happy camper for sure!
