Although it doesn't appear he was OCD. My new neighbor is and I've never seen that yard look so good. Although if he asks me a third time what the plastic barrier in the soil between his lawn and my plants is for we may have an issue.
It's a weed/grass barrier for the line of Snowmound Spirea on the property border. It's been there for 35 years and it likes where it is, has done its job. It's not absolutely, perfectly straight so I'm sure he wants to pull it.
The other day he asked if he could trim the Spirea so it had a flat perpendicular face on his side. While it's in full bloom. I told him he has the right to do that with any branches over the property line. Spirea ain't taxis or privet, but he's done some unnatural trimming on most of anything in that yard.
When I hear the weed wacker startup I turn off any music I have on because I'll be hearing a two stroke for approximately 1 hour. I have the same size yard and my weed wacker gets maybe 7 minutes of use. I was born and raised with my fathers landscaping business so I'll admit I go at pro speed in the yard work, but I've never seen anyone take so much time trimming. He's going to get carpal.
I can't get a picture right now but he just pulled the 2" stone on the side of the house (house to walkway) so he could wash every individual stone and place them in a very nice pile in the driveway. The remaining soil, it's now re-screeded and pounded to the flattest it could be. I'm anxious to see if the stone is fitted by diameter, 1 3/4" in the front to 2 1/4" in the back. Or maybe some other interesting pattern. I foresee an interesting situation if he orders a supplemental delivery of 2" stone, he'll probably have calipers in hand accepting only properly size examples of ordered product.
You've got to be kidding me right? There is no way I could deal with that. Maybe I should of kept that bottle of Prozac and gave it to you and you could of put it in his water supply or something. My mother was a nurse back in the day,she always said there are more out than in.
Well, I got it to crank over and blow out the excess fuel, but I was smart and pulled the FICM relay. Now to get my scanner and see if it will pick up which injector is down.I got a feeling that the Snap On scanner isn't going to do what the IDS does. I thinking about getting a clone. I don't need all the update stuff. Anybody got one besides Sean? I'd like to hear about it
Not kidding. But it's interesting to watch. Especially the two pail, individual stone wash then rinse. My wife didn't believe me for awhile.
How do you like the trim on the grass-walkway transition?
I really not the person who should be talking. I get a little OCD on things I build or research I do. Not as bad as Mom. I've just never watched a person like this.
If that guy came to my house he'd probably have a stroke. Ive been sick for going on 2 weeks now and cant seem to shake the cold. On meds now so hopefully I can shake this thing!
Keep up the good work on the Ex., that Snap On Scanner may surprise you. I have a modis and it does most everything an IDS can.
Thanks for the offer Jack,I might take you up on it. the solis pro came up with some weird stuff. Being that the firing order is 12734568,in the order that the scanner lists it 12345678,in the scanner order#3 was -2. Which I make out to be#7,#5 was -20 which is #4,#6 was -19 which should #5 and #8 was -25 which is cylinder 8. I think I need to pull the injectors and check the seals. I also don't like the FICM voltages maybe the logic side is NFG, who knows. I don't like this alt that's on there ,that's for sure But with that much smoke I think I need to address the injectors first. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow, even side first. Lets see if my hunch is correct.

Jack one word. "Camcorder" Post the washing on Youtube. That is if it happens again.
Bill, Like I was saying on the phone I should have the DVDs out to you soon.
It's too bad that my supplier flaked out on me and went MIA.
Do you have a borescope? When you pull each injector take a peek
and see if you can see a wet piston. What would be handy at this point
is one of the vacuum test stands for injectors. The bad one will leak for sure.
I guess tou could make something up with a Mityvac and some hose on
the nozzle after you clean off any carbon so you get a good seal. Use some
soft clear hose and maybe a small hose clamp and see if you can pull
a slight vacuum on each one.
Little bumps on the starter, you need a starter button or you will bend a rod ,break the starter nose or blow a gasket. A old timer taught me......man I do miss him,he was a wealth of knowledge including life experiences. I don't think there was anything he had not seen or done. A lot of times the exhaust manifolds leak due to age and corrosion and a little bit of water gets in there you can purge it. If it's full your beat, and I've my fill of head jobs and cracked heads at the marina.
