For that "splice"job someone should be taken out and …. I can't think of
something that would be equal. I would not even pass that person on to a Dodge.
It's just criminal.

Got the new IPR socket this morning. I looked for 3hours last night and gave up. Going to fix the ICP lead and change the screen in the IPR and check the harness. Next will be the intake, but before it goes on I'm gonna vacuum out all the ports to make sure there is no foreign objects in them. Hope I have all the bolts as this is a bag of worms to start with.

With such an unknown situation here and the skill shown in previous repairs while vacuuming the ports is a good idea it does nothing if a small nut or other debris has made it past the open intake valve. Considering the potential damage and cost it might be worthwhile to get a borescope into the cylinders to see if they are indeed clear.

What Jack said^^^^^^

You can never be too careful....

Especially when you don't know how well the last guy did about keeping things clean.

Intake is in. That was half the battle.just have to torque the bolts (One bolt is MIA,I'll call Ford tomorrow as I forgot some other items) and start cleaning the turbo and make that ready for the install.

Bill I am going to be a bit slow on posting that diagram.
Crashed a computer BIG time. Just finished installing
a fresh copy of OS X 10.5 xserve on an old G5.
After all the Microsoft server installs I have done I must
say Mac xserve was easy. I had to of done something wrong.

EDIT : One thing I am having a problem with is the PC for some
reason would not see the mouse when I went to get the PDFs for you.
Also I am smelling something electrical that is hot. I hope that it's just
an over heated room fan.

Here is the PDF you want page 26-6 for the IPR, ICP is 26-8.

I also included the connector faces with the pinouts and colors.

What bonehead I am. Wasted all this time trying to figure out bolts and stuff and it was right in the PDF file in the stickies up top. Just goes to show ya that sometimes ya gotta sit back and check over things a little bit more slowly and lay out a plan. Ford had the bolt and the rest of the stuff I wanted.......Now back to work!

Down to turbo install, turbo has a reman sticker on it. Maybe that's why it's in such good shape. Had a hard time separating it thou but I got it. Cleaning it up and installing.
