I like to stay consistent, I just complain about a lack of moisture pretty much year-round. Maybe it's funny that I choose to live in this Southern Alberta Desert.

Well if you gotta complain then that's a good place for you! Makes it so easy for you if you don't have to look for things to complain about!
Had an annoying morning of self-employment, so decided to take a good long walk, took me 60 minutes to even figure out where I was going! All the sunshine and fresh air helped my outlook at least.
Hope you enjoyed your walk and cleared your head. And as for me I will be home for about an hour on Friday when I get there then the long drive to Edmonton.
My self-induced stress these days perry is mostly to do with figuring out how hard to work on my self-employment project, which is 100% oil and gas based, during the big downturn in oil and gas. At some point, more effort doesn't really increase my exposure, and increased exposure isn't turning into sales. When I calm down, I actually think I'm doing okay, and I should be thinking about the long game here, but like most people, I have a short attention span, and I really wish I was getting some short term rewards as well.
I'm not a video game guy, but I can see the attraction. You get instant feedback, and when you do something right, you get your reward. Real life often doesn't work that way.
Your wise enough to have stayed in a field that you know, a lot of people do the 'turn over a new leaf' act and blow everything on it. It's a tough trade that your in right now so more credit to you for sticking to it knowing that, but it's probably the safest thing you can do. I know some that got into the as seen on tv, follow the green arrows etf and 4ex crap and have lost 3 houses and most of the inheirentence because of how easy it's supposed to be. I'm lucky in that I have a few fall backs that can help to pay the bills, but it's not easy anymore. Stick with it, its the market thats making it hard so be patient. Good luck
