Took care of Luigi's junkie henchmen and scared off our Criminal Protection System, if the Mayor returns my email this week we get to have a sit down and a tour of the hood and take it from there.

What I got is a whole lot more effective than a dog, this street has a zero crime rate now, nobody wants stupid enough to mess with that, I could leave my doors wide open and not have visitors.

Cops around here like exploiting junkies with warrants and run off the theory that if it wasn't for the victim there wouldn't have been a crime and as such the victim is to blame. Old game, played it before in places with real criminals, real criminals don't like cops who play the game.

It's all in the mentality, I know good cops and disillusioned ones too but they know that they don't get to work in areas like mine as they would interfere with the status quo.

You know, I really like Forest Lawn for a lot of reasons. Really handy to get downtown and lots of places, plus lots of very good restaurants that don't try to rip you off.

My wife works out at the east end of 17th ave these days.

I get the feeling Perry has his security handled by folks who like to wear leather vests.

The screech & schooner is beside the laundromat I use to save the pump in my washer.
We got pat's place across the street and a number of Asian and African restuarants along this strip. There is 50mil in tax benefits starting to come into the strip as part of a business redevelopement plan, it's meant to keep people spending the $ on this side of Stoney Trail and not in Chestermere. Your wife probably remembers the beat cops that were working the hood about 2 years ago 77, about 10 days after Stuart Maclean did his story time walk through down the street with the CBC camera crew they replaced them with the horse patrol. The beat cops cleared all the hoe's and junkies from between 14th and 17th and sent them to 19th so that the street was nice and free of the crap when the cameras showed up. The girls are free to work behind the TnC and they're encouraged not to stray onto 19th. The junkies have their scum holes on 50th across from Geinow, a strip along hubalta, and the Main street housing and their more than welcome to stay and keep the crap there. They can pass through my area but they can't stop. Anything I find in my area not obeying the boundaries, I'm free to use as a soccer ball, with no fear of retribution. Now I can do my daily walks and so can the seniors and others, no more CPS junkies are going to jump me from behind and no more trashed properties.

Took the day off as the humidity was rising and the temp has been on a slow drop. Got a first right of refusal and price agreement signed today on the house so it's conditionally sold and now I get to put together a deal on the purchaser's side by side 4 plex. Should be easy enough as I'm approaching the girls that have power of attorney on the other half of my place. They're looking for a property in this area and wanted to buy this place, but as their only interest is having this place as a revenue property thats not going to happen. If they say no I'm not to worried as they both work in banks and will jump at the chance to ring that bell. Nice feeling knowing that I have a lifetime lease coming to me.

2 days of spring rain, guess I get to take some time off, could use the rest and the yard could use the moisture. The drywell I put in last year is coming in handy as I wont have to worry about the back yard wont be a mud bog this year. Maybe I'll regrade my shop floor, will give me a chance to use my laser level again, its such a handy little tool.
