Just figured out how to use the master ford parts cd...... When I actually figured out the part prefix and matched to the part # it was like having the correct answer on Jeopardy, that short moment of victory.... So if you wondering the OEM oil sending switch for my truck is D4AZ-9278-A
Saw this cool poster in a store today. Obviously something old and British.
The steering wheel controls are quite something. I see choke on the left (CLOSED - OPEN) and timing advance on the right (ADV - RET). What would the Riding Control (SOFT - HARD) adjust? Is the RUN - START for the starter?
I found this the other day and thought about my home State of California. I was born here and love living here but our politics are an absolute disaster.
Mechanical fuel pump on the side of the block. Is it pushing/squirting fuel out the line when you turn it over with the key? If you disconnect it at the carb and have the end of the line going to a clear container. Like a clean clear plastic soda bottle.
Use that idea to catch the fuel, and you can ck by yourself. Position the bottle carefully so you can see it (between the hood and cowl gap) with the hood up while setting in the cab and turning the key...
I cut a + in the cap and use the points to hold the line securely in the cap.
Need help please. My 77 f100 truck wont stay running after fuel filter change. Not.sure what to check next
Check the filter more closely to see if it has an arrow on the filter body. If it does have an arrow then the arrow needs to be in-line pointing towards the carb. Some filters can be directional.
I spray carb cleaner down the vent tubes when the old filter is off and chase it with brake cleaner, theres usually stuff that comes out on the paper towel thats I have under fuel inlet. Make sure the rubber hose between the hard fuel line and new filter is clean and not kinked. Get an inline filter and install it between the tank and the x member, I can see my $4 inline filter when I look between my cab wall and box front wall. I can change my inline filter in under 3 minutes ans have a spare in the glove box. If this don't work, yell, curse, scream and have a schitt fit, that way the neighbors have someone to laugh at..
Just been hunting through this trying to find a thread i was reading once about the bed swap where the OP fitted an lbs bed but then put his own bed exterior back on. Obv can't find it now and kicking myself, has anyone got any idea what the thread was. From memory it was a yellow truck - lots of help I know...
On a side note... Just found out how to subscribe to a thread, result!
